About me and my therapy practice
I am a Counsellor dedicated to supporting young people to thrive, whatever their life experiences. I am passionate about helping families flourish, strengthening attachment, and walking alongside individuals as they explore and embrace their authentic selves—emotionally, physically, psychologically, and sexually.
As a Barnardo’s Link Therapist, I am registered with Ofsted to work with young people affected by adoption. I am trained to support everyone within the Adoption Triangle—birth parents, adoptive parents, and adoptees—and I also work with those involved in fostering and special guardianship arrangements.
In my role as a Secondary School Counsellor, I have extensive experience supporting young people facing a wide range of emotional and relational challenges, including anxiety, depression, school refusal, friendship concerns, trauma, bereavement, loss, and family or relationship difficulties. I also have experience working with international students living in UK boarding settings.
I bring a fun, warm, empathic, and honest approach to my work, offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space for exploration and growth.
If you have any questions about counselling or would like to discuss how I can support you, please feel free to call or email me. I’d be happy to help.
My first session
During our first session, we’ll go through the counselling contract together. I’ll send this to you in advance so you have time to look it over. Once we’ve discussed the contract, we’ll use the rest of the session to explore what has brought you to counselling and how you would like to use our time together.
I often find it helpful to talk about your support network, significant life experiences, and how the challenges you’re facing are affecting your day-to-day life.
By the end of our initial meeting, we can decide together whether I am the right counsellor for you.
