About me and my therapy practice

Welcome, I’m Charlotte. Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. I specialise in working with adults who are struggling following one or more traumatic events, including survivors of sexual violence, abuse, trauma and complex PTSD.

I have supported people with a range of difficulties during my career in the charity, NHS and private sectors. I could help you to move on from whatever may be troubling you, including both deep rooted issues and day to day difficulties. I can help with depression and anxiety, managing triggers, flashbacks and nightmares, exploring relationships with others, working with feelings of shame and overwhelm. I aim to empower you to build confidence to make decisions which are right for you and to set boundaries, to enable you to feel happier and more 'yourself' and to be able to enjoy life.

I aim to create a safe space, free from judgement to explore the important things which have brought you to therapy. We’ll work in collaboration towards your goals, to help you develop tools to help you cope with future challenges and at a pace which feels comfortable for you.

Practice description

I offer both short and long term therapy. I am an integrative therapist, which means I utilise a variety of different techniques depending on what may be most beneficial to you and the issues you’d like to work on. I draw from a number of different approaches including trauma-informed, person-centred, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based and creative approaches. Previous clients have described me as trustworthy, reliable and patient.

Reaching out for help takes courage, well done for taking the first step. My practice is more than just a job to me, I truly care about each and every individual I work with. You'll be treated with respect and sensitivity- it is a real honour to share in your therapeutic journey. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page, good luck. I hope to hear from you.
