About me and my therapy practice

As a qualified and registered therapist, I have worked in various settings including community centres, schools, universities, refugee services and in private practice. 

At some point, most of us may come to feel anxious, low, overwhelmed or simply stuck. Perhaps life events have left you feel lost, confused, or distressed. Past experiences, present difficulties, and worries about the future can weigh us down and it can be difficult to see a way out. Maybe you’ve been coping so far but things now feel overwhelming; perhaps it has been this way for a while and talking to friends or family may not be enough or appropriate.

Each person who enters therapy has a unique story, a unique combination of experiences and circumstances. We all have different strengths and concerns. The starting point is to come as we are.

Whether you are dealing with a specific issue or would like to explore your existence in a broader sense, therapy can be an opportunity to create space in your life to consider where you are now, and where you would like to go from here.

People come for different reasons to therapy, but I would be best trained to support you if, for example:

You feel stressed, anxious or overwhelmed

You are going through challenges in personal/ work relationships or in your relationship with yourself

You struggle with confidence or self-esteem

You are in the transition into parenthood

You have arrived in a new country or have moved back and are facing all the changes that this can bring

You would like to grow awareness of your cultural heritage

My training is integrative, meaning I draw on different approaches depending on what works best for you. If you decide to come to therapy with me, you will be the one setting the agenda, pace and topics of discussion. I work with the understanding that you are the expert of your life, and my job is to support you on your journey to grow your confidence and trust in yourself. 

Practice description

I  offer a 20-minute free introductory call.

Sessions last for 50 minutes, although you can book a double session if that is what you feel you need.

My fees range from £80 to £100 per 50-minute session for individuals, with the possibility of booking double sessions if needed, and from £100 to £120 for couples. 

All payments are made via bank transfer.

I accept insurance (Allianz Worldwide Care, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality Health and General & Medical Healthcare).

If you cancel your session 24 hours in advance, there will be no charge. Late cancellations will be charged at full price.

My first session

The initial session is an opportunity for us to meet, discuss what brings you to therapy, and determine if we're a good fit. I'll explain how I work, address any questions you might have, and begin to understand your goals for therapy. This session helps establish the foundation for our therapeutic relationship and sets the direction for future work together.
