About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am an Integrative Therapist (MBACP) and army veteran. As a qualified therapist my aim is to navigate through the difficulties alongside you, through short and long-term therapy to suit your needs. I offer a confidential and personalised therapy that is tailored to you by integrating many models and techniques. These include person centred therapy, EMDR, CBT, Psychoeducation, IFS, and Inner Child work to assist you in exploring difficulties and internal conflicts to create an opportunity where change is possible.
Our early life experiences can affect the way that we view and present ourselves in the world. When we have past trauma that has not been processed and is still held within the body, this can lead to powerful feelings that overwhelm us. Sometimes we are unsure why this is happening and this can be confusing and worrying. What we have used in the past to keep us feeling safe may no longer serve us and can have negative consequences in our everyday life and relationships. Therapy is a journey that can help you understand what you are experiencing and find a way forward from situations that can often lead to feelings of being stuck, hopelessness and not being good enough.
Practice description
I am experienced in working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of issues including, Anxiety, Depression, Life transitions, Abuse, Rape and Domestic Violence, Addictions, Personality Disorder, Trauma, PTSD, Complex Trauma, Developmental and Attachment Trauma. My aim is to enable positive change through individual and Dyadic Therapy and I have a keen interest in supporting others with neurodevelopmental difficulties.
I am a Registered member of the BACP (British Association Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their Code of Ethics. I am a member of ESTD (European society for trauma and dissociation) and hold an enhanced DBS.
