About me and my therapy practice
“Psychotherapy is the attempt of two people to recover the wholeness of being human through the relationship between them” R.D. Laing.I am an established BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist and I work with my clients referring mainly to an integrative approach, offering a broad set of tools deriving from different theories and schools. It gives me the chance to be flexible and to adapt my work to fit my client’s needs and requests. I believe that each of us has an inner capacity for healing and my role is to shed light on it, supporting you to find and use the resources that you already have within yourself.
Life can be very challenging and many of us can experience distress and confusion in different forms: relational difficulties, sexual and identity issues, loneliness, emptiness, intrusive thoughts and anxiety that seem to have no explanation. My role is to welcome you in your wholeness as a person and to work with you towards understanding your difficulties within context. You can expect me to be present, attentive and available to explore any challenges that you are currently facing with curiosity, integrity, and respect.

About me and my therapy practice
I’m an integrative psychotherapist, strongly influenced by body psychotherapy. I work psychodynamically, paying close attention to what is happening between us in the room, in the moment.
Past experiences matter because they shape how we are with each other now: in our bodies, in what we hide or readily share, and in how we move towards someone or pull back. Rather than spending most of our time on events outside the room, I look at what those experiences stir up between us.
I see each of us as born with a natural light, an aliveness. Over time, that light can be dimmed by what we have lived through. Trauma often shows up in the body as tightening, numbness, freezing or quick reactivity. Therapy is a place to loosen the knots that form, slowly and at a pace that feels safe, so the light can come back on.
I see therapy as a process of unlearning: getting closer to who you truly are, and recognising that you are not broken and do not need fixing. Together we look at what drives you, what holds you back, and whether those old patterns still serve you.
Practice description
I have been in private practice for over seven years. Sessions are 50 minutes. I mostly work long-term, and I’m open to shorter work where there is a clear focus.
Clients who work with me tend to be curious and willing to be brave, authentic and playful. If you are searching for realness and want to feel more alive and connected, we may be a good fit.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and see whether we might work well together. It lasts 50 minutes, like all our sessions. There is no assessment form to complete beforehand. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, how you’d like to work, and what you’d like to get from it. You’re welcome to ask me anything about how I work before we begin.
