Availability
This an online and in-person service provision.
My current availability is online (telephone, Teams, Zoom, Skype, and other secure sites) from 8.00 am until 8 pm Monday to Friday. I am also available on Saturday mornings.
I am not available on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
I offer 50-minute counseling sessions. Couples work is an hour and a half or hour. I also work with organisations and provide reflective group supervision.
I provide long and short-term person-led tailored support. If I feel I can not support your journey I will help with signposting.
About me and my therapy practice
I am integrative addiction therapist and psychotherapist. As a result of working in different settings I understand the impact of Adverse Childhood Experience and attachment styles. I believe in working with you or families or community in a holistic and compassionate way.
I am here to support behavioural change. I have worked with different groups for over 30 years in UK and Internationally (para- abilities and learning disabilities, LGBTQIA+, BAME communities and Art based therapy).
For 16 years, I worked with social services and Connexions offering therapeutic support to staff and service users. I really believe you have the resources to heal historic / present concerns, I am here to , support, listen, provide therapeutic tools , to receive feedback and offer reflection.
Practice description
I am interested and passionate about positive psychology, whole system approaches to recovery and mindfulness to help individuals with enduring emotional, mental health and substance issues. I have special interest in working with fathers/ mothers who are separated from their children, separation and divorce, fertility, coaching , Domestic Abuse (victims and perpetrators).
I am a lifelong learner, I have MSc in Addiction Psychology and Counselling, Master cert. working with CYP and Postgraduate Cert. in Systemic Practice. I have a number of qualifications and training related to working with CYP and adults. This includes a JNC qualification in Youth and Community and Post Graduate Connexions Diploma.
I use clinical techniques which promotes sustainable recovery which starts where you are at.
Current CPDs are in Trauma, EMDR, internal family systems (IFS), DID and more.
I have work extensively with teams and individuals around race, gender, discrimination, intersection, un/employment and personal development.
I have special interest in parenting, parenting alienation, adolescent, behaviour change, trauma, social service infertility, NEET, Substance Use, Domestic Abuse ( Victims and Perpetrators of abuse, self development and working with the whole system.

My first session
In sessions, we will discuss the issues you are worried about and I will ask you to prioritise the areas you want to address. I will ask a number of clarifying questions to ensure I have understood you. I will be curious, about historical events and how this relates to what is happening now for you. I am systematically trained and interested in social graces, your narratives, values, context and personal intersections.
Due to Covid19 Pandemic I have supported key workers, BAME Communities and professionals around bereavement, loss, anger, isolation and providing a space to reflect and listen.
For non BAME clients, I am very experience at working with difficult topics regarding discrimination, unconscious bias, explore safely the ideas around privileges related to race and gender, being an ally and help with intergenerational narratives.
I will also draw on evidence based techniques and training to ensure you obtain the best outcomes.

Availability
Integrative Clinical Supervisor
As a BACP registered member and clinical supervisor, I help bridge the gap between the front line practice and the classroom. I also provide non line-management support for those in other fields.
I offer an hour and half clinical supervision each month via Skype or telephone.
Monday to Saturday Mornings, not available on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Time: 8.00am until 8.00pm not including Saturdays

What is Clinical Supervision
Clinical Supervision enables you to stay grounded and work in an ethical, effective and in legal framework through socratic reasoning, develop theoretically insight and growth, reflective practice which promotes highest of standards and self care.
The aim in session is to prevent burn out. Whilst promoting rapport and the development of safe practice boundaries and growth.

I have broad range of clinical knowledge acquired over 30 years of training and practice in different fields in communities here in the Uk and abroad.
Training and Qualification
As a life long learner I have numerous qualifications and CPDs to ensure your practice is in safe hands. This also includes the arts and media.
I have MSc in Addiction Psychology in Counselling, Master Post Graduate Certificate in Systemic Practice, Master cert. in working with CYP, Mindfulness for leaders, ACT, DID, Shame, PTSD, ITEP, Domestic Abuse, improving effectiveness in staff supervision, Trauma Treatment Mastery Course, etc.
In the last five years, I have been providing bespoke clinical support to those who want to deepen their practice as an Integrative clinical supervisor.
I am passionate about strength based practice and 3rd wave interventions which reflects on a whole system approach.

My first session
Right from the start I am focused on listening, our sessions encourages learning from experience, collaboration, and knowing your limitations at any given time.
For some working in private practice ,working as a counsellor or health social care professional can be isolating. Having regular supervision enables you to receive support.
I believe in fostering a positive reflective working relationship between supervises and supervisor.
This is not a space to explore personal issues and sessions aims to keep personal exploration separate and neutral. My aim in session is to improve the quality of your work and resolve specific dilemmas and barriers.
Using systemic and formal evidence based processes to enable you to be stretched whilst offering feedback.
