About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Victoria.
If you're considering therapy, there's a good chance you've already spent a long time trying to make sense of things on your own. You may have read the books, listened to the podcasts, analysed the situation from every angle and still find yourself stuck in the same patterns, relationships or feelings.
My role isn't to give advice or quick fixes. Instead, I offer a space where we can slow things down together and become curious about what's happening beneath the surface.
I believe that our struggles rarely appear out of nowhere. Often they make sense when we understand the experiences, relationships and circumstances that shaped us. Whether you're living with low self-esteem, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, shame, people-pleasing, loneliness or a sense that you've somehow lost yourself along the way, therapy can help you understand not just what is happening, but why.
I aim to create a warm, thoughtful and collaborative space where you can bring the parts of yourself that feel messy, confusing or difficult to share elsewhere.
I work relationally, which means I pay attention not only to the problems you bring, but also to how you've learned to relate to yourself and others. Together we can explore old patterns, make sense of emotional reactions that feel overwhelming, and develop a kinder, more compassionate understanding of who you are.
Therapy isn't always about feeling better straight away. Sometimes it involves turning towards things we've spent years trying to avoid. But in my experience, lasting change comes not from pushing difficult feelings away, but from understanding them.
Whatever brings you here, you don't have to figure it all out alone.
Practice description
I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches rather than working from a single model.
At the heart of my work is the belief that every person is unique and that therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than the other way around. I integrate person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment-informed and compassion-focused approaches to help clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences.
My person-centred foundation helps me create a warm, accepting and collaborative space where you can feel heard and understood. Psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches help us explore how past experiences and relationships may continue to influence how you feel, think and relate to others today. Compassion-focused ideas can help us understand self-criticism, shame and difficult emotions with greater kindness and understanding.
Together we may become curious about patterns that seem to keep repeating, the beliefs you hold about yourself and the ways you have learned to protect yourself. By exploring these with curiosity rather than judgement, therapy can help you develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion and choice.
Whether you are facing a specific difficulty or simply feel stuck, therapy can offer a space to make sense of your experiences, understand yourself more fully and move towards the life and relationships you want for yourself.
