About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life events can leave us feeling fragmented, or as though parts of ourselves have been lost or pushed aside, leaving us feeling disconnected, numb, or anxious. Therapy can offer a space to gently bring together the different strands of our experiences and reconnect with ourselves, supporting new ways of understanding and moving forward.
I am an experienced BACP-accredited therapist and supervisor, offering a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental space to explore the experiences and relational dynamics that may be impacting your life. I meet you with curiosity and care, wherever you are on your journey.
My approach is relational and humanistic, with a strong emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I avoid assumptions and view you as the expert in your own experience. I am here to walk alongside you, offering support, reflection, and compassion as you find your way forward. Where it feels appropriate, we may work collaboratively to explore possible changes, and I may share my understanding of psychological theory and evidence-based practice to support your process. This includes an awareness of how early experiences can shape our relationship with ourselves and others, explored at a pace that feels safe and led by your needs.
I support people with a wide range of experiences, including trauma, the impact of abuse, and more general difficulties such as anxiety, depression, stress, and relational challenges.
Within this work, I have a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing disordered eating and body image difficulties. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to support people to explore their relationship with food and eating with curiosity and compassion. This includes understanding how these patterns may have developed, what might be maintaining them, and what the individual would like to change. Our work is collaborative and paced, with care taken to ensure it feels safe, respectful, and led by your needs and goals.
Practice description
I have a background in psychology (BA Hons) and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and Therapy. I also have a Post-Qualifying Diploma in Working with Eating Disorders and a Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Supervision.
I have completed additional training and have experience in working with rape, sexual abuse, and domestic abuse. I receive regular clinical supervision and am committed to ongoing learning to ensure I’m offering safe, ethical, and effective support.
I support people with a whole range of struggles including trauma, the impact of abuse, as well as more general anxiety, depression and stress. I have a special interest and experience in working with disordered eating and body image issues.
I currently have an independent private practice as well as receiving referrals from Bristol Priory Hospital. Prior to this I have volunteered for the Samaritans, worked for a local trauma service and Cornwall Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre as well as local low-cost counselling services.
I am passionate about my work and dedicated to supporting my clients’ process in whatever way needed.

About me and my therapy practice
Supervision is an essential part of practicing safely, ethically, and responsibly as a counsellor or psychotherapist. I offer supervision to individuals and groups across a variety of settings. It provides an important space to stay grounded, reflect on your work, and support wellbeing, helping to prevent burnout and maintain professional effectiveness.
As a supervisor, I draw on the 7-eyed model by Hawkins and Shohet to support critical reflection on your work from multiple perspectives, including the client, yourself as practitioner, the supervisory relationship, and the wider context. I approach supervision in a relational, humanistic way, bringing the same values of curiosity, respect, safety, and collaboration that guide my therapy practice. I am here to support, encourage, and, where appropriate, challenge you—always in a way that is safe and constructive.
Supervision can be a space for both professional and personal growth, as well as being restorative, creative, and reflective. Together, we work to strengthen your practice, deepen understanding, and maintain your wellbeing as a practitioner
