About me and my therapy practice

Does life feel heavy right now? You may feel disconnected from your emotions, anxious, or finding that ADHD or other neurodivergent experiences affect how you cope and where you fit in. Perhaps your confidence has taken a knock, or relationships feel more difficult than they used to.

I'm Paula, and I help people like you make sense of what is going on in your life. Even if it feels too much, we can gently look at what is happening and what changes you want for yourself.

I work with anxiety, helping you understand overthinking, manage feeling on edge, and build tools to help create calm.

I can support you with low mood or motivation, helping you take realistic steps towards feeling more hopeful.

I can help with ADHD-related challenges, offering practical strategies to improve focus, manage overwhelm, and strengthen emotional regulation.

If confidence and self-doubt are affecting you, I can help you build resilience, reconnect with your strengths to improve self-worth.

I can also support you with relationship difficulties, helping you improve communication, set healthy boundaries, and build stronger connections.

I’m trained in EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing), which can help you process difficult experiences and reduce their impact on your daily life.

Clients often tell me they feel safe, supported and understood in our sessions. You do not need to have everything figured out yet, we can do it together.

Reaching out can feel like a big step, especially if you are used to coping on your own, but you do deserve support and clarity.

If this resonates with you, you are welcome to get in touch by email, phone or text using the details above. Leave your name and contact details and I will get back to you as soon as I can. We can start with a conversation and see if it feels like the right fit.

Practice description

I have been a therapist for 16 years, in charitable organisations and my own private practice, I bring a person-centred approach with an integrative style of working and what that means for you is, I draw on different therapeutic methods to suit your therapy needs.

I offer therapy on line via video platform, face to face or on the phone.

My in-person sessions happen in a lovely, welcoming office on Rodney Street (L1). There are just four steps up into the building, and once inside, you'll find a comfortable and private space where I hope you'll feel at ease, therapy being just for you, somewhere you can be yourself.

My first session

If you would like to know more,

I offer a 20 minute no obligation telephone call, this is often a good starting point to ask any questions and share what you are hoping for, or simply talk through any expectations you have.  During our call I can tell you a little about me and my therapy approach, what you can expect from your 1st session so you can feel comfortable in making the decision that feels right for you.

You may wish to share what has prompted you you to reach out and discuss any hopes or goals you have, even if you are feeling unsure of what you may need or why you are here right now that is ok too.

The most important thing is that you have taken the first step towards making positive change for yourself and we can work to explore the rest together.

About me and my therapy practice

'Whether you are just starting out or have years of experience, In supervision we all need a space to think out loud sometimes'

 I'm Paula,

The best supervision feels supportive enough to be honest, safe enough to be real, and strong enough to sustain ethical, resilient practice.

Supervision is more than a professional requirement. It is a dedicated space to reflect, grow and explore challenges and celebrate successes within your practice.

I work with trainee and experienced counsellors and psychotherapists who want to deepen self-awareness, strengthen clinical confidence, and feel supported in their development.

My approach is person-centred and integrative, combining warmth, collaboration, and constructive challenge where you can think openly about your client work,  ethical questions, relational dynamics, and the personal impact of practice in a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental way.

Practice description

I have been a therapist for over 16 years, where the core of my practice for many years was in bereavement and trauma. In more recent years, within my own private practice, my work has expanded to include supporting people experiencing anxiety, low mood, family conflict, relationship difficulties, depression, ADHD and self-esteem challenges. I am also a trained EMDR therapist, helping people to heal by processing distressing memories from difficult life experiences.

Supervision can help you care for yourself, reflect on your work, and grow with confidence. If you are looking for a supervisor who values authenticity, openness, and your development as both a therapist and a person, I’d love to hear from you. Get in touch to arrange a relaxed, no-obligation conversation to see how we might work together.

I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation

This can be a good starting point for us both, a chance for you to bring up any questions you have about supervision, you may wish to ask more about my experience as a supervisor or therapist or discuss your own learning style or any support needs you may have in making sure we are a good fit.

My Supervision fee is £60 per 1.5 hours

I look forward to hearing from you.
