About me and my therapy practice

They say unconditional hope, like unconditional love, is the only kind worth truly having. Yet as we travel through life, we can sometimes wonder if our ability to survive on that hope alone is enough when faced with deep sadness, sudden change, heartbreak or even tragedy.

Therapy offers a unique, safe and confidential space for you - where you can explore your inner most everything. Our ambition together should be to illuminate what really mattered in your past, what’s truly happening for you now and how you might like to live a healed and happier life as you move to the future.

I am a fully qualified UKCP accredited Integrative Psychotherapist and a BACP member, and am fully DBS checked and approved to work with both adults and children. I have lived in both London and New York over the last two decades.

I completed my initial Psychotherapy studies at Regents University, then undertook a further 4 years of training and qualification in Psychotherapy and Counselling at CCPE in London with further studies in Trauma and Complex Trauma. I work with individuals with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, sexual, physical and psychological abuse, PTSD, ADHD, inner child healing, eating disorders, hoarding, and family constellation and enmeshment issues.

For leaders and corporate boards I offer individual and group Performance and Leadership psychology and coaching and off-site retreats and psychoeducation. My work encompasses board dynamics, board performance and cultural politics, given my previous 25 years in the corporate media world, advising hundreds of the top TNT companies on Human Capital in both NYC and London.

Outside of my clinical practice I am a regular writer, contributor and commentator on topics around psychotherapy, mental health, human talent and performance. Later in 2024 I will be publishing a psychotherapeutic book focused on the effects and recovery from psychological and narcissistic abuse.

Practice description

It’s a commitment to work together. It will be enlightening, challenging, transforming, surprising and incredibly healing. My duty of care is to support, guide and encourage you as you make that journey. No hurt is too small and no trauma is too big – I will hold that space for you and it is a privilege to do so.

The therapeutic alliance between you and your therapist will be critical, so choose your therapist wisely, be sure you connect well with your choice – all good therapists will offer a chemistry call or short session to help you decide.

For me, I critically ask for your honesty, bravery and consistent attendance. In return I promise to meet you emotionally where you are, offer thoughtful interventions, unconditional kindness and an ambition to support you in becoming conscious of what has happened and how you can heal - improving the elements that bring you to therapy in the first place.

You can read some client testimonials on my website at Psyched.com but in the main, people find me to be a warm, tender, empathic therapist, who will venture gently but with intent into the dark corners that so often unsettle our lives. Together we then find new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving that positively impact your whole self, liberating you from that which pains you.

For those in the public eye, I will sign NDA's on request but absolute confidentiality is the underlying keystone of my work with each and every client.

It all starts with a conversation.

My first session

I always believe we should start with a 30 minute chemistry session which I offer for free, with no obligation at all, so we can get to know each other a little to be sure we are the right therapeutic partnership.  This can be done in person or on the phone.

I then usually offer face to face and remote sessions from central London Monday to Thursday and face to face and remote sessions in Hampstead Fridays and some weekends.

I also offer an emergency out of hours service for those who may find themselves (or their loved ones) in crisis through the night or at weekends.  Details can be found on my website.
