About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Jada — a bilingual (English & Mandarin) counsellor specialising in women’s self-worth, relationships, and mother–daughter dynamics.

Many of the women I work with appear capable, thoughtful, and self-aware — yet privately struggle with a persistent sense of “not being enough,” especially in close relationships.

You may find yourself:

  • Overthinking interactions or feeling easily affected by others’ reactions
  • Giving more than you receive in relationships
  • Drawn to emotionally unavailable or inconsistent partners
  • Carrying unresolved tension, guilt, or distance in your relationship with your mother
  • Feeling lost, rejected, or destabilised after a breakup

These patterns are rarely random — they are often rooted in earlier relational experiences, attachment wounds, and cultural or family dynamics that have shaped how you relate to yourself and others.

My work offers a space to gently explore and transform these patterns at their root.

🌿 How I Work

I take a relational and integrative approach, combining depth-oriented therapy with clear structure.

Together, we will:

  • Understand the emotional patterns that keep repeating
  • Explore how your past experiences are shaping your present relationships
  • Process unresolved feelings such as grief, anger, fear or shame
  • Strengthen your sense of self-worth from within
  • Support you to build relationships that feel more mutual, grounded, authentic and fulfilling

🌿 Areas I Specialise In

  • Self-worth, self-esteem, and inner criticism
  • Mother–daughter relationship healing (individual or joint sessions)
  • Relationship and attachment patterns
  • Breakup recovery and emotional healing
  • Cultural identity, belonging, and intergenerational dynamics

🌿 Next Step

If this resonates, I offer a free 20-minute Zoom consultation — a gentle space to explore what you’re looking for and whether we feel like a good fit.

Practice description

My work is grounded in a relational, integrative approach, offering a thoughtful and in-depth space to explore your emotional world.

I believe that many of the challenges we face in adulthood — particularly in relationships, self-worth, and emotional regulation — are rooted in earlier relational experiences. In our work together, we gently explore these patterns, helping you develop greater awareness, process unresolved emotions, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
  • Gestalt Therapy
  • Attachment Theory
  • Family Systems Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Somatic Therapy to Increase Awareness
  • Parts Work/Sub-personalities/Inner Child

This allows me to tailor the work to your unique needs, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.

Clients often describe our work as both supportive and insightful — offering not only a space to be heard, but also a deeper understanding of themselves and their relational patterns.

I offer therapy in both English and Mandarin, working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including those navigating identity, belonging, and intergenerational dynamics.

Professional Recognition

My work has been recognised through several UK awards, including:

  • “Best Breakup Recovery Therapy for Women” (2025), GHP Global Excellence Awards
  • “Most Effective Mother-Daughter Relationship Therapy/Coaching (London)” (2023), GHP UK
  • “Most Empowering Female Counsellor in London” (2022), GHP UK

I offer both online and in-person sessions (London Bridge, Surbiton KT6), providing a consistent and confidential space for you to explore your inner world at your own pace.

My first session

The first session is a dedicated space for us to begin understanding what brings you to therapy, and to explore whether we feel like the right fit to work together.

During this session, I will invite you to share a little about your current concerns, as well as any relevant background or experiences that feel important to you. There is no pressure to share everything at once — we move at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you.

This session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of how I work, ask any questions you may have, and reflect on whether you feel safe, understood, and supported in the space.

Where helpful, I may begin to gently highlight patterns or themes emerging in what you share, offering an initial sense of direction for our work together.

I will also explain practical aspects of therapy, including confidentiality, boundaries, and what it means to work with a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

The aim of this first meeting is to begin building a foundation of trust, clarity, and a shared understanding of how we might move forward.
