About me and my therapy practice
I help people deal with anxiety or depression by looking at how past events and relationships have an effect on the present.
You may be able to point to a specific reason for why you want to start counselling, or you may have a sense that things do not feel right without being able to put your finger on why. This feeling could have developed recently, or may have been with you a long time, it may come and go, or it may feel as if it never ends.
Making the decision to start counselling can elicit feelings from fear to excitement, from anxiety to relief, and may even be all of those things at the same time.
The way I work is to create a confidential, compassionate and non-judgemental environment, in which together we can explore your inner world and think about how your problems might be made sense of and understood. It is not my role to impose my own views on you, or to reduce your experiences to simplified explanations. Rather, it is for us to work together to think about how you understand yourself, your history, relationships and motivations without resorting to technical jargon.
An initial meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other, discuss what you want from the therapy and consider how best to support you with the help you need.
I see clients in person in central London, King's Cross, Kentish Town and Finsbury Park, or online via Zoom.
Fees for the initial consultation and ongoing sessions are from £80.
