About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified, BACP-accredited counsellor with 15 years’ counselling experience, supporting people through a wide range of emotional and personal difficulties.
I have extensive experience of working alongside people approaching the end of life, as well as those facing the death of someone close to them or living with bereavement and anticipatory grief. Grief is deeply personal and can affect every part of life. You may be trying to make sense of what has happened, cope with difficult or conflicting emotions, or find a way through everyday life when your world feels profoundly changed.
Counselling offers a dedicated space to talk openly about the person who has died, share memories, explore your feelings, or simply be with whatever you are experiencing. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and you can move at a pace that feels right for you.
I also have a particular interest in supporting women who experience difficult relationships with themselves, their bodies, food, eating, weight or size. You may feel caught in patterns that offer comfort, control or protection, while also bringing shame, guilt or self-criticism. Together, we can gently explore these experiences with curiosity and compassion, without judgement.
I also support people experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, low mood, anger, low self-esteem, relationship or work-related difficulties, and the impact of painful past experiences or trauma.
I offer warm, supportive online Person-Centred counselling, grounded in empathy, trust and non-judgement. I see you as the person who knows yourself and your experiences best. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to offer a safe and confidential relationship where you can feel heard, understood and accepted.
Together, we can gently make sense of what you are experiencing, deepen your understanding of yourself and your needs, and explore a way forward that feels more compassionate, meaningful and true to you.
Practice description
Online counselling offers the flexibility and convenience of accessing therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space, wherever you are in the UK.
Sessions can be weekly or fortnightly, depending on what feels right for you. I ask that you find a quiet, private space where you will not be interrupted, allowing our sessions to remain confidential and giving you dedicated time to focus on yourself.
As a Person-Centred counsellor, our sessions are led by you and by whatever feels important or meaningful to explore. I trust that you have your own unique understanding of your experiences, and I will work alongside you as we explore what they mean for you. Where appropriate, I may also draw upon elements from other therapeutic approaches to support your individual needs.
Online counselling sessions take place securely via Microsoft Teams. I will send you a link before your appointment, which you simply click to join our video session.
Individual counselling sessions are 50 minutes and payment is made by bank transfer (BACS) before each session.
My first session
You are welcome to contact me by email or phone to take the first step. If I’m unable to answer your call, please feel free to leave me a message, send a text or contact me via WhatsApp, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I offer a free 15-minute initial call, giving you the opportunity to briefly talk about what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
If you would like to go ahead, we can then arrange an introductory counselling session, charged at my usual rate. During this session, we will spend some time exploring what has brought you to counselling, what you are hoping for, and complete an initial assessment together to help me understand how I can best support you.
There is no obligation to continue after this session. What matters is that counselling, and working with me, feels right for you.
