About me and my therapy practice

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. If you are considering therapy, perhaps something in your life feels difficult, overwhelming, or simply not quite right. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to face it alone. You are never too young, too old, or too late to ask for help. I have many years of experience working therapeutically with adults and young people across charitable sectors, schools, colleges, and private practice. I understand that making the decision to come to therapy can often feel daunting, and I believe that finding the right therapist, someone you feel comfortable with and can trust, is an important part of the process.

My private practice is called Hestia, named after the Greek goddess associated with kindness, warmth, and compassion. These are qualities that are at the heart of how I work. I practise integrative therapy, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic models and approaches. I use these creatively and flexibly to match your needs in a way that honours your story, your pace, and your goals. I am Accredited by the BACP and hold an MA in Integrative Counselling from the University of Manchester.

I offer a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive space where you can explore life’s challenges. Together, we can make sense of what you are experiencing and gently work towards healing, self-acceptance, emotional resilience, and greater peace of mind. I believe that self-discovery can be an important part of this process, helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your emotions, and patterns that may be affecting your life.

Practice description

I prefer to work in person with Clients and offer sessions in several comfortable therapy rooms in the local area.

I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR. I hold both Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

My first session

I offer a free 20–30 minute introductory session, either by phone, video call or in person. This is a relaxed opportunity for you to meet me, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of what therapy with me might be like.

It is also a chance for us to talk a little about what has brought you to therapy and for me to explain how I work. There is no pressure or expectation to commit to anything, it is simply an opportunity for us to see whether we feel comfortable working together.
