About me and my therapy practice

My name is Jane, I am a Person centred therapist, registered with the British Association of Counsellors and psychotherapists.

If you are reading this, you have taken the most important first step in reaching out to find some help. My approach will be compassionate, caring and supportive, working at a pace comfortable to you.

From time to time we might find ourselves needing a little extra help and support. The troubles and pressures of life can soon cloud our minds, they may eventually pass, but sometimes we can get stuck needing help to see things more clearly.

As a qualified counsellor, I offer 1-2-1 therapy, in a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings about the struggles/challenges you face.

Counselling gives you the opportunity to think, allowing you the time to manage your emotional and mental well being, finding alternative ways of coping and enabling you to create positive changes for a happier and more contented you.

Thank you for reading my profile and I look forward to hearing from you.

My first session

The aim is to get a feel for one another, spending time so that we can see if I am the right counsellor for you. The key to successful therapy is the relationship between you and your counsellor.

In our first session we will begin to explore what it is that has brought you to counselling and for me to gain understanding of your needs. As no two people are the same, therapy can be tailored to your needs, as we agree what it is you would like to focus on and your goals.
