About me and my therapy practice
My work as a psychotherapist is grounded in the belief that meaningful and lasting change emerges through a strong, attuned therapeutic relationship. I offer a calm, professional, and ethically held space where each person is met as an individual, with care taken to work at a pace that feels respectful and manageable.
I am a Senior Psychotherapist and Psychologist with a doctoral training background in Counselling Psychology and over a decade of experience working in the UK and internationally. My background spans private practice, the NHS, charities, universities, and specialist therapeutic settings. Alongside traditional psychological therapy, I integrate body-based, somatic, and trauma-informed approaches, recognising that emotional experiences are often held and expressed physically as well as psychologically.
I specialise in working with trauma in its many forms — including complex trauma, PTSD, prolonged or repeated stress, and single-incident trauma — as well as dissociation, emotional dysregulation, addiction, self-harm, and high-risk presentations. I am also a published author and international contributor in the fields of nature- and animal-assisted psychotherapy, reflecting my commitment to innovative, evidence-based practice.
My approach is relational, thoughtful, and integrative. I value professionalism, clarity, and strong ethical boundaries, and I aim to create a therapeutic space where trust can develop and genuine change can take place.
Practice description
My therapy practice offers integrative, trauma-informed psychological support for adults and young people, bringing together evidence-based psychotherapy with somatic, body–mind, and natural approaches. I work with the understanding that emotional and psychological experiences are often held in the nervous system and body, and that effective therapy needs to attend to both.
I offer flexible ways of working, including online sessions, in-person therapy, regular weekly work, and longer or more intensive sessions where appropriate. I also provide bespoke therapeutic programmes tailored to individual needs and goals. These may include nature-based therapy, equine- or canine-assisted psychotherapy, or working relationally with your own animals as part of the therapeutic process.
Alongside psychotherapy, I integrate elements of naturopathic and physiological support where clinically appropriate, particularly in relation to trauma, stress, and nervous system regulation. This holistic perspective recognises the interconnectedness of psychological, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
For those seeking more focused support, I also offer an advanced, structured 10-session trauma integration programme designed for individuals who may have already engaged in therapy but continue to experience unresolved patterns held in the body, nervous system, or daily life. This programme integrates psychological therapy, somatic work, and natural approaches within a clear, professionally held framework.
Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored. Some people come to work through the impact of trauma or long-standing patterns; others seek support during periods of stress, transition, or emotional difficulty. I also work with individuals who may not have found traditional talking therapies helpful in the past. The aim of the work is to support greater understanding, regulation, and capacity, enabling meaningful and sustainable change.
My first session
Before booking a full assessment, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. This gives us both the opportunity to briefly explore what you’re looking for and whether we feel that working together would be a good fit.
If you choose to proceed, the next step is a 50-minute initial psychotherapy assessment consultation. This first session provides a dedicated space to begin making sense of what’s been happening for you and to explore how best to support your needs.
During this session, we will:
- Clarify how you’re currently feeling and what may be contributing to this
- Explore your goals and what you would like from therapy
- Discuss the most appropriate type, frequency, and duration of therapy
- Begin to outline an individualised therapeutic plan
Many people find this process helpful and containing, as it allows us to develop a clear, bespoke approach rather than moving straight into ongoing work without direction. I will then put in writing my understanding of what’s going on using psychological theory and outline your bespoke therapeutic plan (usually offering a small number of options to choose from).
You may also choose to book a combined psychotherapy and naturopathic assessment. This extended consultation offers a more holistic overview, integrating psychological assessment with naturopathic support where appropriate. Recommendations may include personalised guidance across nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, and lifestyle factors that support emotional and physical wellbeing.
Clients often find this particularly helpful when physical symptoms accompany emotional distress, or when seeking to support nervous system regulation, sleep, energy levels, and overall balance. Following a combined assessment, you will receive a comprehensive written personalised plan outlining our focus, recommendations, and next steps.
Please note:
Initial psychotherapy consultation: 50 minutes (£125)
Combined psychotherapy and naturopathic consultation: 75 minutes (£350)

About me and my therapy practice
I am a Senior Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with a doctoral training background in Counselling Psychology and extensive experience working in the UK and internationally. My work spans private practice, the NHS, charities, universities, residential services, and specialist therapeutic settings.
I offer a reflective, structured, and relational approach to supervision, grounded in evidence-based practice and strong ethical frameworks. I place particular importance on creating a supervision space that feels both supportive and robust, where practitioners can think clearly and bring the full complexity of their work — including ethical dilemmas, safeguarding concerns, and relational dynamics.
My style is calm, thoughtful, and collaborative, supporting practitioners to deepen clinical thinking, strengthen professional identity, and build confidence over time.
Approaches and Models
I use Hawkins & Shohet’s Seven-Eyed Model as the foundation for supervision, providing a structured, systemic, and process-focused framework. This allows us to explore clinical material, relational dynamics, parallel process, ethical considerations, and the wider systems impacting the work.
Alongside this, I integrate somatic, mindfulness-based, and phenomenological approaches where appropriate, particularly in trauma-informed or experiential practice.

Clinical Supervision Practice
My supervision practice is grounded in creating a safe, structured, and relationally strong environment. The supervisory relationship is central to the work we do together, supporting you to feel confident bringing ethical dilemmas, safeguarding issues, and the ways you yourself are drawn into the therapeutic process.
I view supervision as a space where clinical thinking deepens and personal and professional growth naturally run in parallel. A key aim of my work is to support practitioners in developing a steady internal sense of an “ideal supervisor” they can draw upon in their day-to-day clinical practice.
I work with practitioners from a broad range of modalities and backgrounds, offering a warm, insightful, collaborative, and enjoyable supervision space. A significant proportion of my supervisees continue working with me for many years, reflecting my ability to hold, challenge, and nurture practitioners across different stages of their professional development.
Who I Work With
I supervise counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, trainees, and specialist practitioners across private practice, charities, universities, the NHS, residential settings, and international organisations. I support both early-career and highly experienced practitioners, adapting the supervisory focus to your level of experience, modality, and professional goals.
Professional Development & CPD
As a published author, international consultant, and director of an accredited psychotherapy training organisation, I can support wider professional development and CPD. This may include strengthening formulation skills, working with trauma and complexity, developing confidence in ethical decision-making, or integrating somatic and experiential elements into practice.
I am experienced in supporting practitioners working with high-risk presentations and in helping supervisees think clearly and calmly in complex or high-stress situations.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute phone call to explore whether we feel suited to working together.
In our first supervision session, we clarify your goals and requirements for supervision and, where appropriate, begin to establish a supervisory contract. This session also provides space to explore your strengths, areas for development, and whether we both feel that I am the right supervisor to support you.
We may agree to focus solely on clinical or online supervision, or we may decide that incorporating experiential, creative, equine or nature assisted sessions could be helpful at certain points — particularly if you feel stuck or are working with complex material.
Following this initial session, there is no obligation to commit to ongoing supervision if you feel I am not the right fit.
Future Work Together
Clinical supervision is collaboratively tailored to support you as an individual practitioner or organisation and may include:
- Flexible duration and frequency
- Room-based supervision in a comfortable, private setting
- Experiential equine-facilitated supervision, including constellations, body-based awareness, and mindfulness-based practice, in a private facility
- Experiential nature-based supervision
- Online or telephone supervision (most availability)
I am insured to work with practitioners internationally.
