About me and my therapy practice
Seeking support can feel difficult, especially when you are experiencing pain, overwhelm or feeling stuck. Yet it is entirely human to seek support.
Therapy offers a space to explore what has been happening for you, understand patterns that may no longer serve you, and create the conditions for healing, self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
I also work with people who are not in significant distress but who are seeking a reflective space for personal growth, deeper meaning, creativity, spirituality, and greater connection with themselves and others.
As a trauma-informed integrative therapist, I work in ways that minimise the risk of re-traumatisation. My approach recognises the importance of both mind and body in the healing process.
I support clients with a wide range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement, relationship and family difficulties, addiction, attachment wounds, and psychosexual issues.
Our work may focus on present challenges or explore how past experiences influence you now. Central to my approach is an interest in your relationship with your mind, body, emotions, other people, and the wider world.
Trauma, addiction, and spirituality are areas of particular interest in my practice and are often interconnected.
Alongside individual experiences, I consider the impact of discrimination, oppression, social injustice, and intergenerational trauma on psychological wellbeing.
I offer a compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship where you can safely explore whatever may be troubling you. Together, we can deepen understanding, strengthen resilience, and cultivate a more authentic and fulfilling way of being.
In addition to talking therapy, I offer walk-and-talk therapy, ecotherapy, meditation, and mindfulness-based approaches where these may support your needs.
Practice description
Session Rhythm:
60 minutes long
Clients take the final session each month off, for rest and integration. Therefore there are 3 or four sessions per month depending on whether there are 4 or 5 weeks in a month.
Occasionally I am able to offer twice per month sessions to help with affordability.
My first session
The first session provides a space for us to feel into whether we are a good fit. It is an opportunity to tell me in more detail what brings you to therapy at this time and what you hope therapy will bring to you.
