About me and my therapy practice

Hello, and welcome.

Whatever you are feeling in this very moment is important because you are important. Life can get on top of us sometimes and I am here to offer support with the challenges you are facing. Relationships go through ups and downs; communication can break down, leaving you wondering what’s happening and how did we get here? If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to face it alone.

I’m here to support you, and help you to explore your world and gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. Together, we can uncover your inner strength and resilience, helping you move towards the life you deserve.

I offer a warm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what’s troubling you. Our sessions may include talking, listening, and creative approaches — always guided by what feels most comfortable and helpful for you.

I work with couples, adults, and young people aged 15+, offering respectful and confidential support within a trusting and understanding therapeutic relationship.

Taking the first step can feel daunting, but it is also the beginning of change. If you’re ready to explore what’s going on for you and/or your relationship, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on that journey.

Practice description

In addition to my private practice, Purple Steps Counselling, I also work as a Secondary School Counsellor. Previously, I have worked at The Chilterns Neuro Centre, South Bucks Hospice, Time to Talk (adolescent counselling service), and One Recovery Bucks.

I work from a beautiful, nurturing hut in my garden, offering a calm and private space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions.

My approach is Integrative, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic models to suit your individual needs. Together, we’ll find a way of working that feels right for you. Some people prefer to talk, while others find it easier to express themselves creatively — through play, drawing, painting, or sand tray work.

I have experience supporting people with a wide range of challenges, including:

depression, anxiety (generalised and social), grief and loss, low mood, family and relationship issues, trauma, work-related stress, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, long-term or life-limiting illness, ASD, ADHD, menopause, divorce and separation, women’s life changes, and low self-esteem.

Whatever brings you to counselling, I offer a safe, compassionate, and confidential space where you can explore what’s happening for you — and begin to move towards understanding, healing, and growth.
