About me and my therapy practice

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Facilitator with over ten years of experience supporting people through life’s transitions, complexities, and challenges. I believe every person carries a unique story shaped by identity, experience, and the environments we inhabit.

I strive to create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where you can feel rooted, authentic, and whole. My practice is informed by a diverse background across clinical, educational, and environmental settings.

Alongside general practice, I specialize in climate-aware therapy, offering a dedicated space for those navigating climate anxiety, ecological grief, and a sense of uncertainty about the future. I work from a collapse-aware perspective, which means I view climate distress as a deeply sane, healthy response to our world rather than a pathology to be "fixed."

My core approach blends person-centred counselling with psychodynamic understanding, allowing us to explore your present experiences alongside the deeper patterns shaped by your past. I offer a relational, trauma-informed, and intersectional framework that honours how your personal history intersects with wider social and ecological contexts.

Practice description

To make therapy as accessible and adaptable as possible, I work with clients both online and face-to-face, offering both traditional individual therapy and nature-connected therapy:

• Regular Therapy: We can focus entirely on traditional individual therapy to explore your personal history, relational patterns, or climate distress in a structured, contained space. This can take place either face-to-face or online.

• Nature-Connected Therapy (Online): If you wish to weave the natural world into our sessions online, our focus shifts to your immediate everyday surroundings—whether that is your local park, garden, or even the view from your window and houseplants. We work to find groundedness and belonging right on your doorstep.

• Nature-Connected Therapy (Face-to-Face): We can bring our therapeutic process directly into the outdoors, allowing the local natural landscape to actively support our sessions through walking, sitting, or simply being in nature.

Whether we focus on traditional therapeutic exploration or nature connection, our sessions are highly adaptable and guided entirely by your individual pace, capacity, and emotional needs.

My first session

Our initial session is designed to be gentle, collaborative, and entirely at your own pace. Whether we meet online or face-to-face, this first meeting is an opportunity for us to get a sense of how we might work together.

During this session, we will:

• Explore your hopes for therapy: We will discuss what has brought you here, any specific challenges you are navigating, and what you hope to gain from our time together.

• Discuss your preferences: We can explore whether you are looking for regular therapeutic support or if you would like to weave nature connection (either online or outdoors) into our work.

• Complete a gentle assessment: Rather than a rigid or clinical test, our initial assessment is a collaborative conversation about your history, your current support systems, and your well-being needs. This helps ensure that my integrative and climate-aware approach is the safest and most supportive fit for you.

• Address practicalities: We will look over a simple working agreement covering boundaries, confidentiality, and scheduling.

There is no pressure to share everything right away. This hour belongs to you, and you are welcome to bring whatever feels manageable.
