I have daytime and evening appointments available and I am offering video calls as well as face to face sessions. Face to Face sessions are held in Thame. Mon-Fri are my normal working hours, but can see clients on a saturday too by prior arrangement.
About me and my therapy practice
You’re tired of feeling this way—and not fully understanding why.
You might look like you’re coping on the outside, but inside you feel anxious, not good enough, or stuck in the same patterns—especially in relationships.
Maybe you overthink everything. Maybe you people-please, doubt yourself, or feel like you’re “too much” or “not enough” at the same time.
Often, these patterns don’t come out of nowhere. They’re shaped by early experiences—growing up in environments where you were criticised, dismissed, or didn’t feel safe to fully be yourself.
Therapy with me is about understanding those patterns at their root—and changing them.
I use a combination of trauma therapy (including EMDR) and deeper pattern-focused work to help you process what’s been holding you stuck, make sense of your experiences, and build a more secure, confident relationship with yourself.
This isn’t just about talking. It’s about real, lasting change.
Practice description
I have had over 10 years working within the NHS, in GP surgeries. I run my private practice from Thame on the borders of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
This location is easily accessible with plenty of parking.
The room is confidential, safe, clean and provides a welcoming, quiet space to discuss concerns.
I also offer consultations online.
If you are struggling with traumas, PTSD, phobias, anxiety, depression EMDR may help with this. Check with me to see if you would be suitable for this specific treatment.
I am also a counselling provider for AXA, BUPA, Cigna and WPA.
My first session
First sessions are often a particularly nervous time for new clients which I fully understand. Having made contact is a very important first step and then it takes courage to follow through and speak to a therapist about sometimes, very personal issues. My approach is very open, friendly and I make sure you are as comfortable as you can be in the situation. In our first session we can see if we will be a 'good fit'. We can ascertain if we can work together so you feel comfortable, safe and free to share anything.
This is the time to find out the issues the client would like help with as well as what the expectation is from the sessions. This we can then discuss and see how I may be able to help you.
There are a couple of questionnaires I may use to assess where you are if you struggle with depression or anxiety as a starting point for our work together. This can then be reviewed through our time to ensure there is a progression and improvement.
I am very keen to hear your goals for therapy to ensure we can stay on track with these and have a satisfactory outcome.
In the first session, I may ask you about previous therapies and how you feel they went. This is important for us to understand your past experiences with any form of therapy.
If you are seeking EMDR, this is a very specific therapy and the first 1 or 2 sessions will involve checking on your suitability for this.
I do offer a 15 min telephone call before the first session which is free to chat through how I can help.
