I offer face to face therapy in a beautiful peaceful location in Shurdington, Cheltenham, within easy reach from Gloucester, Stroud and surrounding areas. Free parking is available just outside.

If online therapy works better for you this is not a problem. The thought of video counselling can seem a little daunting for some at first, but experience has taught me that connection and a feeling of being together is still very present even if we are not in the same room. It also has many advantages like not having to travel and you can relax in your own surroundings, which many find comforting and safe.

Please be aware that my appointments are usually during the daytime.

About me and my therapy practice

Welcome: A space for understanding, support and change.

Hello my name is Jacqui and I am an experienced individual, couples/relationship and psychosexual therapist passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and finding a way forward.

I use a wide range of counselling and psychotherapy skills to help navigate your current difficulties, offering a warm, non-judgemental space to feel heard and respected.

Although I specialise in working with couples and relationships, I welcome all clients facing challenging times, life can be overwhelming at times and you don’t have to face that alone.

Finding the right therapist can make all the difference. Feeling a sense of connection and building trust can create a platform to discover your authentic self, you may be pleasantly surprised at what you find.

I am professionally open-minded offering a confidential, supportive, non-judgemental space where you can speak freely about your concerns, you will be listened to with empathy and compassion.

I welcome working with people from all walks of life, respecting the diversity of backgrounds, cultures, identities and experiences that make each of us unique. I also take a neurodiversity-affirming approach when needed, recognising that we all experience and navigate the world differently.

Throughout our work together you can develop a greater understanding of yourself, strengthen your relationships and rediscover balance and hope for the future. Everyone’s journey is personal, unfolding at your own pace as new awareness and possibilities emerge.

Please see my website to get a better understanding of how I work.

If you feel I could be the right therapist for you please get in touch and we can arrange an initial 15-minute call or for couples, a Zoom meet and take things from there with no obligation.

Practice description

Individuals

Maybe you are feeling stuck at the moment, with nowhere to turn and feel as if nobody understands. Maybe there are issues too uncomfortable to share with those close, or maybe you are holding onto painful emotions with no idea how to process them. Together we can tackle those difficulties, maybe look at negative patterns of behaviour, possibly influenced by your past, that still hinder you in the present.

I have a special interest in relationships and how we interact with others and the effects they have on us. Whether it be personal, family, business or romantic, we can explore how to enrich such relationships or move on feeling more at peace.

Couples

Are you a couple who feel you have lost your way and are not enjoying each other as you once did? Are you unable to communicate, be heard or seen anymore? Maybe you are trying to get over an infidelity, or perhaps one of you is dealing with a big life event and you are unable to support each other. Maybe there are problems and stresses of raising a family or issues arising in later life. Has the spark gone in your long term relationships? Is there limited intimacy, or is your sex life not where you would like it to be? Would you like your friend back?

There are so many reasons why couples seek relationship therapy. With the right support you can often find a new lease of life in your partnership or marriage, sometimes richer than you thought possible.

Sadly sometimes couples decide to part ways and seek help in finding an amicable ending. I can offer support through this difficult time.

I will be there to facilitate and help improve communication, giving you both the space to be heard. I will support you both without judgement or bias, helping you both feel valued, heard and respected.

I work with a wide range of sexual issues from low libido, erectile dysfunction, anorgasmia and pain during sex.
