About me and my therapy practice
Therapist- Noun
"Someone who joins you in the darkness with a light to help you find your way out."
Welcome,
Firstly, well done for taking the initial step in to your therapy journey.
I offer confidential counselling, allowing therapy to be interactive, creative and client centered. As a trained therapist, I am skilled in helping you to explore and process difficult subjects in a safe environment.
I foster my practice on ensuring that a positive therapeutic relationship is the first step to success. My approach is Integrative, combining Humanistic, Psychodynamic, CBT and Compassion Focused approaches.
I have experience of working with a wide range of mental health challenges. I initially trained at Headway- Brain Injury Rehabilitation, providing counselling therapy for complex Trauma and the complexities of head injury. I then went on to be a School Counsellor, supporting vulnerable young people. I have also been a therapist to the Metropolitan Police Force.
I am very passionate about the work I do, the people I meet and the stories shared. Helping to improve someone’s mental health and all the components that go with it...is very fulfilling. As a south Asian therapist I have vast experience supporting this group and bring cultural awareness and sensitivity to our sessions.
I have obtained my Msc in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Derby and I an accredited member of the BACP.
Should you enquire, you will be offered a free initial consultation via telephone. This is an opportunity for me to understand your therapy needs.
