About me and my therapy practice
Being a parent can be rewarding, but it can also be overwhelming, complicated and sometimes lonely. There can be so much focus on looking after everyone else that there is very little space to think about how you are actually doing.
Perhaps you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, frustrated or like nobody really understands what you’re dealing with. You may be struggling with parenting, family relationships, separation, co-parenting or changes within your family. Or perhaps you simply need somewhere to talk without having to put on a brave face.
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and take some time for yourself.
My experience of providing pastoral support and counselling within schools has also given me an understanding of the challenges young people can face, and the impact these experiences can have on the wider family.
We can explore what’s happening in your life, the relationships around you and the things that may be difficult to put into words. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you need from counselling. Sometimes having someone listen and help you make sense of things can be the starting point.
I work with parents and adults experiencing a range of personal, emotional and relationship difficulties, including the challenges that can come with parenting and family life.
I also support parents navigating separation, co-parenting and blended family relationships, but my work is not limited to these situations.
My aim is to help you feel more understood, develop greater clarity and find a way forward that feels right for you.

We'll spend some time talking about what's been going on , what your hoping for from therapy and whether working together feels like a good fit. About me and my therapy practice
Growing up can feel complicated. There can be pressure from school, friendships, relationships, family life and expectations, while sometimes not knowing how to explain what you’re feeling.
I offer young people a safe and supportive space where they can talk openly, be themselves and feel listened to without judgement.
Alongside my counselling work, I have experience providing pastoral support and counselling within school settings. This has given me valuable experience supporting young people through the emotional, social and personal challenges they can experience as they grow and develop.
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low in confidence or struggling with emotions that feel difficult to manage. You might be experiencing difficulties with friendships, relationships or family life, or finding it hard to make sense of changes happening around you.
Sometimes young people simply need somewhere separate from home and school where they can talk about what’s going on and have someone genuinely listen.
My approach is warm, relaxed and guided by the individual. I take time to build a relationship where a young person feels comfortable and able to talk at their own pace.
I can also support young people who are experiencing changes within their family, including parental separation, changes in family relationships or adjusting to new family circumstances.
If you’re a parent looking for support for your young person, you don’t need to have all the answers before getting in touch. We can talk about what’s happening and whether counselling could be helpful.
Practice description
I work online via video call with young people . There’s no commute your teenager can join from somewhere they feel comfortable at home.
I can help with big emotions that feel hard to manage, conflict and tension at home, anxiety and worry, low mood or withdrawal, feeling like they don’t belong or nobody understands them, difficult past experiences, and identity and self-esteem.
I offer a free 20-minute introductory call for parents first, so you can ask questions, share what’s been going on, and decide whether I feel like the right fit before anything is booked.
I work in line with BACP ethical guidelines and will explain clearly how confidentiality works with young people and what my safeguarding responsibilities are — so there are no surprises.
My first session
The first session is for your teenager to get a feel for the space and for me to get a feel for them there’s no pressure to dive straight into the deep end.
We’ll start by talking about what’s brought them to counselling and what they’re hoping to get from it. I’ll ask some questions, but I’ll go at their pace. Some young people arrive ready to talk; others need a bit of time to warm up. Both are completely fine.
I’ll also explain how counselling works including what’s confidential and what isn’t so your teenager knows exactly where they stand from the start. Feeling safe is the foundation of everything.
