About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Sarah, and I support women through life’s transitions.
Over the past ten years, I have had the privilege of working with women of all ages and backgrounds. In that time, I have come to understand just how varied, and how deeply personal, a woman's experience can be.
Perhaps you are navigating perimenopause or menopause, facing fertility struggles, or coming to terms with the end of a relationship. You may be grieving a loss - whether that is a person, a chapter of life, or the future you once imagined. Or perhaps you feel anxious, stuck or overwhelmed, unsure of who you are and what you want.
Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to make sense of it alone. With experience rooted in private practice, higher education, and bereavement settings, I offer a warm, nurturing approach and work at a pace that feels right for you.
Practice description
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on several therapeutic approaches, tailoring our work to you and your individual needs.
At the heart of my practice is a combination of psychodynamic therapy, which explores how early experiences shape who you are today, and person-centred therapy, which holds the belief that given the right conditions, we all have the capacity to grow. Together, these approaches allow us to look honestly at the past while keeping sight of who you are becoming.
Our work together is collaborative, respectful, and led by you.
My first session
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and finding someone you feel comfortable with matters more than any particular approach.
With that in mind, the initial consultation is simply a chance for us to connect, for you to share what has brought you to therapy and get a feel for how it might be working together. There is absolutely no obligation to continue.
If we decide to work together, sessions will be at the same time each week. We can agree on a set number of sessions or keep things open-ended, checking in regularly to make sure you are getting what you need.
If you are curious about starting therapy, I would love to hear from you. Feel free to get in touch to ask any questions, or arrange an initial consultation.
