About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Sarah. I'm a therapist with ten years experience helping women work through anxiety, depression, and life transitions, from the end of a relationship or the loss of someone or something important, to perimenopause, menopause, or fertility struggles.
Every woman's experience is different, but many arrive in therapy feeling the same way; stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how they got here. You don't have to make sense of it alone, and you don't need the right words to start, just a willingness to show up and talk it through.
My background spans private practice, higher education, and bereavement settings, and I bring a warm, open approach to every session, working at a pace that feels right for you.
Practice description
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on several therapeutic approaches, tailoring our work to you and your individual needs.
At the heart of my practice is a combination of psychodynamic therapy, which explores how early experiences shape who you are today, and person-centred therapy, which holds the belief that given the right conditions, we all have the capacity to grow. Together, these approaches allow us to look honestly at the past while keeping sight of who you are becoming.
Our work together is collaborative, respectful, and led by you.
My first session
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and finding someone you feel comfortable with matters more than any particular approach. That's why I offer an initial consultation, a low-pressure space to share what's brought you to therapy and get a feel for how we might work together, with no obligation to continue.
If we do move forward, we'll meet at the same time each week. We can agree a set number of sessions, or keep things open-ended and check in regularly to make sure it's still working for you.
If you are curious about starting therapy, I would love to hear from you. Feel free to get in touch to ask any questions, or arrange an initial consultation.
What I can help with
Anxiety, Bereavement, Cancer, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Menopause, Pet bereavement, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
