I have daytime slots available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.About me and my therapy practice
Over the past ten years, I have had the privilege of working with women of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and sexual orientations. In that time, I have come to understand just how varied, and how deeply personal, a woman's experience can be.
Perhaps you are navigating perimenopause or menopause, facing fertility struggles, or coming to terms with the end of a relationship. You may be living with a health challenge that has changed how you see yourself, or grieving a loss: whether that is a person, a chapter of life, or the future you once imagined. You might feel overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or depressed. Or perhaps you simply feel stuck, unsure of who you are or what you want.
Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to make sense of it alone. Counselling can offer a confidential, compassionate space to explore all of this, and to find your way back to yourself.
Practice description
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on several therapeutic approaches, always tailoring the work to you and your individual needs.
At the heart of my practice is a combination of psychodynamic therapy, which explores how early experiences shape who you are today, and person-centred therapy, which holds the belief that given the right conditions, we all have the capacity to grow. Together, these approaches allow us to look honestly at the past while keeping sight of who you are becoming.
We will work at a pace and depth that feels right for you, with both support and gentle challenge. Our sessions will be collaborative and respectful, and above all, a space where you feel safe to be yourself.
My first session
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and finding someone you feel comfortable with matters more than any particular method or approach. That connection, I believe, is what makes therapy work.
With that in mind, the initial consultation is simply a chance for us to connect: to share what has brought you to therapy, get a feel for working together, and ask any questions you may have. There is no obligation to continue.
If we do decide to work together, sessions will be at the same time each week. We can agree on a set number of sessions or keep things open-ended, checking in regularly to make sure you are getting what you need.
If you are curious about whether we might be a good fit, I would love to hear from you. Feel free to get in touch to ask a question or arrange an initial consultation.
