About me and my therapy practice

I am a registered counsellor with BACP. I work with a person-centred approach that means I will offer you a safe environment with non-judgemental manners, congruent and acceptable manners to build up therapeutic relationships. This is helpful and important for you to be open and is able to explore your insight. Thus, you are helped to find a way to understand your emotions, thoughts and behaviours when you are dealing with your difficulties and emotions, such as anger and anxiety. I will focus on the most destructive one that you have and continue to explore about it to find the best solution for you. My plan is to work with you together to break down your issues in a small piece and help you to get your priority one in an autonomic way. In case of need, I may use an integrated approach to help you to focus on here and now with a tapping method which is associated with Chinese acupressure to help you change negative thoughts into positive. I believe my approach is the best model for helping you to become a person again in a safe and friendly environment. You will develop confidence and self-value so that you are capable of dealing with your problems.

My mission is to provide a friendly, safe and confidential place for you to share your emotions and issues. I am based in Leeds and my service is a remote form that covers the whole UK, please get in touch to find out how I could help you.

I would like to help you work on the struggles you are facing; and offer you a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings. My counselling style is pretty laid back. You have taken the first and most important step by reaching out for help. About me and my therapy practice

My name is Marco Lee, MBACP | Integrative Counselling therapist & Relationship Specialist

Safe Space for Healing, Practical Tools for Change

I am an Integrative Therapist and a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor specializing in couple therapy, with over eight years of clinical experience and more than three years specifically working with couples. I am a Registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am currently enrolled in a CPCAB clinical supervision training course and need to complete 15 placement hours to fulfill the qualification requirements and has developed an integrative therapeutic practice informed by contemporary psychotherapy and attachment theory. I am offering 3 free individual supervision sessions to supervisee.

I have done more than 2,800 hours of clinical experience supporting individuals and couples through their most challenging seasons. My practice is built on the belief that while our past may shape us, it does not have to define our future.

My Specialisms

I provide a specialized focus for those navigating complex internal and interpersonal landscapes:

• Relationship & Couple Dynamics: I help partners move beyond "careful love"—where fear of conflict creates a crisis of security—to build a foundation of healthy communication and authentic intimacy.

• Neurodiversity (ADHD & OCD): Working with your brain’s natural wiring to develop management strategies that actually work for you.

• Trauma & PTSD: Safely processing the past to reduce its power over your present.

• Emotional Processing: Specialized support for the "heavy" emotions: anxiety, sad, pain, fear, guilt, shame, anger and grief of lost or relocation.

Practice description

An Integrated, Evidence-Based Approach

Because every client is unique, I do not believe in a "one size fits all" philosophy. I work integratively, meaning I blend several therapeutic modalities to suit your specific needs:

• EMDR & Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT): To help regulate the nervous system and process traumatic memories.

• CBT & DBT: To provide cognitive tools and dialectical skills for emotional regulation and thought management.

• Professional Coaching: To bridge the gap between "insight" and "action," giving you practical skills for daily life.

Our Therapeutic Journey

Choosing a therapist is about finding the right "fit." My style is empathetic, grounded, and active. I provide a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, alongside the clinical expertise to help you move forward.

I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that your safety and well-being are at the heart of everything we do.

Ready to take the next step? I offer a brief initial consultation to discuss your needs and how we might work together. Please reach out to begin the conversation.
