My name is Vana Lamprogianni and I am a qualified counselling psychologist. I work with children and young people up to 18 years and I also offer parenting support sessions. My passion is to work with families, offer emotional support and navigate them through their life experiences. I have over 8 years of experience working in an NHS early intervention service, schools and mental health settings such as adult inpatient unit. I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
Practice description
I deeply value creating a space of warmth and non-judgment where children, young people and adults can feel truly heard, empowered and give a meaning to their experiences. Through playful techniques like art, mindfulness practices, and my client’s unique personalised interests, I bring warmth and creativity into the therapeutic process, making it easier for young clients to express themselves and explore their feelings.Through my clinical practice and my personal therapeutic journey, I have learnt that therapy is a valuable tool to navigate every day challenges and shape life experiences. Using an integrative and person centered approach I offer the space for young people to unravel their thoughts and make sense of them. One of the most important aspects of my practice is that I strive to offer an inclusive and diverse space, where everyone can be themselves and feel comfortable.
My first session
You are welcome to send me an e-mail so that we arrange a first meeting. You can include any relevant information and questions you may have. The first session will be a free 20-minute phone consultation where we can further discuss what has brought you to seek therapy for you or your child.
If you're seeking therapy for your child, our first session will be a meeting with you alone. This allows me to understand the challenges your child is facing. I'll ask about your child’s development, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Following this, I will invite your child for an initial assessment, and if appropriate, we can then begin regular sessions.
