About me and my therapy practice

🌿 Welcome 🌿

✨ If you’re seeking meaningful change and a deeper understanding of yourself, you’re in the right place.

✨ Many of the people I work with experience anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, or difficulties linked to ADHD and neurodiversity. You may feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or exhausted from trying to manage racing thoughts, emotional intensity, or patterns that seem to repeat no matter what you do.

✨ Living with anxiety, PTSD, or a neurodivergent mind can be deeply challenging. You might feel misunderstood, constantly on edge, or frustrated that traditional approaches haven’t brought lasting relief. These experiences are more common than you may think — and they are not a personal failure.

✨ I offer a compassionate, collaborative space online where you can explore what’s really happening beneath the surface. My work is informed by both professional training and lived experience, and I tailor therapy to your individual needs, pace, and nervous system.

✨ Alongside integrative counselling, I also work with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) — an evidence-based approach particularly effective for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and distress linked to past experiences. EMDR can also support people with ADHD and neurodivergent traits by helping the brain reprocess overwhelming memories, emotional blocks, and long-held beliefs. Many clients find this approach helps create change more efficiently than talking therapy alone, while still feeling safe and contained.

✨ Whether your struggles are lifelong or recent, therapy can help you develop clarity, emotional regulation, self-compassion, and a stronger sense of control. We will work together to reduce overwhelm, build resilience, and help you feel more grounded in your day-to-day life.

🌿 My Approach to Therapy 🌿

ONLINE THERAPY - Personal, Flexible, and Focused on You

✨My approach is practical, responsive, and informed by an understanding of how the nervous system, past experiences, and present-day difficulties are connected. I focus on helping you move forward rather than feeling stuck in familiar patterns.

✨Therapy is shaped around what feels most important for you at each stage. Some sessions may focus on current concerns such as anxiety possibly also caused by ADHD, stress, relationships, or work-related pressures, while others may explore earlier experiences that continue to influence how you feel or respond. I pace our work carefully so that the process feels manageable and contained.

✨A big part of my practice is being EMDR-informed. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) supports the brain to successfully process distressing or overwhelming experiences. It is widely used for trauma and PTSD and can also be helpful for anxiety, low self-esteem, and difficulties often linked to ADHD and neurodivergence. EMDR works by helping unprocessed experiences shift, without requiring you to repeatedly talk through painful details.

✨EMDR is always offered as a choice. If EMDR does not feel right for you, or if you prefer not to use it, we can work using usual talking and integrative therapeutic approaches. Therapy is not about pushing you into a particular method, but about finding what feels safest and most effective for you.

✨Alongside EMDR, I draw on an integrative range of approaches, including, for instance:

• Integrative counselling – providing a steady and supportive framework

• CBT – exploring patterns in thoughts and behaviours

• Creative approaches – supporting emotional expression and insight

✨Apart of working with ADHD, anxiety, and other previously mentioned issues I also support families seeking guidance around neurodivergent experiences.

Practice description

🌿 My Approach to Therapy ONLINE 🌿

✨ My approach is practical, responsive, and informed by an understanding of how the nervous system, past experiences, and present-day difficulties are connected. I work in a way that is supportive and structured, with a focus on helping you move forward rather than feeling stuck in familiar patterns.

✨ Therapy is shaped around what feels most important for you at each stage. Some sessions may focus on current concerns such as anxiety possibly also caused by ADHD, stress, relationships, or work-related pressures, while others may explore earlier experiences that continue to influence how you feel or respond. I pace our work carefully so that the process feels manageable and contained.

✨ A big part of my practice is being EMDR-informed.

✨ EMDR is always offered as a choice. If EMDR does not feel right for you, or if you prefer not to use it, we can work using usual talking and integrative therapeutic approaches. Therapy is not about pushing you into a particular method, but about finding what feels safest and most effective for you.

Alongside EMDR, I draw on an integrative range of approaches, including, for instance:

• Integrative counselling – providing a steady and supportive framework

• CBT – exploring patterns in thoughts and behaviours

• Creative approaches – supporting emotional expression and insight

✨ Apart of working with ADHD, anxiety, and other previously mentioned issues I also support families seeking guidance around neurodivergent experiences.

🌿 Taking the First Step 🌿

If you’re thinking about ONLINE therapy with me or have questions, you’re welcome to contact me by email or phone. I aim to respond within 24 hours. Your first session is offered at half price, giving you the opportunity to see whether counselling feels right for you.

🌸 Your First Session 🌸

The first session is a chance for us to meet via ZOOM or other platform of your choice and talk about what has brought you to therapy. We’ll discuss what you’d like support with, your goals, and how therapy might work for you. You are welcome to ask any questions.

We’ll also cover practical details such as session structure and frequency. If you decide to continue, sessions are usually arranged weekly. The length of therapy will depend on your individual needs and can be reviewed along the way.

🌸 Client Reflections 🌸

“Alice has a real understanding of ADHD. Therapy helped me make sense of how my mind works, develop practical tools, and feel more accepting of myself.”

– August 2025 (ADHD)

“I came to therapy carrying trauma that had affected me for years. EMDR was handled carefully and at my pace, and the impact has been life-changing.”
