About me and my therapy practice

I grew up in Romania, in a family where two entirely different worldviews sat at the same table. I didn't have to go looking for contradiction, it was the condition I came up in. At 22 I left for Cyprus, where I lived for eight years. Then the UK, where I have been for the last decade.

That experience of living between things, of not quite fitting the categories you are given, doesn't leave you. For me, it became a particular capacity: to hold opposing realities without needing to flatten them, to sit inside complexity without forcing resolution. It is something I bring directly into the room.

I came to this work not as a career move but as a calling. I am still working through my own material. I do not pretend otherwise, and that honesty is present in every session.

You might be doing well by every visible measure, work, relationships, the shape of your life, and still sense that something underneath doesn't quite fit. Or you might be carrying something you've tried to understand for years, and understanding it hasn't moved it. That gap, between knowing and changing, between the life you're living and the one that feels genuinely yours, is where this work begins.

I am a psychosynthesis counsellor working with individuals in London Bridge and online. I work with people who are ready to look beneath the presenting problem, not just to manage symptoms, but to find out what they're actually about.

In practice, what clients often notice first is the pace. There is no rush to the presenting problem. I follow the thread of what is actually alive in the room, which is sometimes not what the client expected to talk about. I listen closely, and I also track what isn't being said: what lives in the body, in the hesitation, in the image or memory that surfaces unexpectedly.

The work is collaborative, but it has direction. I will follow you, and when it matters, I will lead.

Practice description

My practice is built around one conviction: that real change happens when you go beneath the presenting problem, not around it.

Most people arrive with something they can name: anxiety, a repeating pattern in relationships, a low mood that won't lift, a sense that the life they're living doesn't quite belong to them. These are real, and they matter. But they are rarely the whole story. Underneath each of them is something older, something that formed before you had language for it, and that has been quietly shaping your choices, your relationships, and your sense of yourself ever since. That's what we work with here.

I trained in psychosynthesis, an approach to therapy that takes the whole person seriously, not just the symptom, but the meaning behind it, the history beneath it, and the capacity for genuine change that sits underneath both. Sessions are weekly, 50 minutes, and take place either at a private room in London Bridge or online. The structure is consistent by design: the same time each week, no fixed endpoint, no pressure to perform progress.

I can be warm and patient. I can also be direct and challenging when that serves the work better. I make space for humour when it naturally arises. What I will not do is keep a conversation comfortable at the expense of what's actually useful.

People who come here tend to be self-aware, sometimes very. They can describe their patterns accurately. What they haven't yet done is gone to where those patterns live, below the level of thought. That's the work.

First-timers are as welcome as people with years of prior therapy behind them.

The first step is a free 15-minute phone call. No forms, no commitment, just a conversation to find out whether this is the right fit.

My first session

We begin with a free 15-minute phone call, a chance for you to ask questions and say something about what's brought you here. There's no pressure to decide anything on that call.

If we agree to proceed, the first session is 50 minutes. We'll talk about what's brought you here, in whatever way makes sense to you, a specific problem, a general feeling, or something you're finding hard to put into words. There's nothing you need to prepare.

The first session is also a chance to get a sense of each other. I'll explain how I work, outline the terms of working together, and we'll start to build an initial picture of what needs to change. I do ask some initial assessment questions, but there is no checklist that drives the work. At its heart, this is a conversation.

From there, sessions run weekly, at the same time each week, to give the work continuity and containment. There is no fixed number of sessions, the work takes the time it needs, and we review it together as we go.

Sessions, including the first, are £80 for 50 minutes, whether in person at London Bridge or online.
