About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and therapist. Recognising that people have different needs, I provide private therapy sessions to working professionals on a long-term and short-term basis.
I offer a confidential, welcoming, and supportive space to people who are facing difficulty in their lives. Some clients come to see me because of anxiety and stress, or are struggling with a lack of confidence and low self-esteem.
Others come to therapy with relationship issues, such as, workplace challenges, loneliness, breakups, or loss.
Sometimes, people come for personal development, feeling lost, stuck, or powerless. And some clients simply want more out of life.
Practice description
Therapy is a collaborative process; this means a good therapeutic relationship is essential to our success. Together we will build a trusting and supportive relationship that will enable you to change and grow.
My approach is empathic, relational, and direct. Using a straightforward style, I tailor my approach to allow your needs to guide our work. At your own pace, we will address the cause of your distress and the behaviour patterns that are limiting your progress.
Alongside talking therapy, I can bring in other practices such as mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork. If suitable we can use creative approaches like drawing and working with imagery.
My first session
In our first session we explore the reasons you have come to therapy, what your expectations are, and how we will work together. You can ask me any questions and talk about any fears or concerns that you might have.
This is an opportunity to decide if you feel comfortable to work with me.
If we choose to continue working together, we will arrange a mutually convenient day and time for our weekly sessions. This will be your dedicated weekly slot.
