I understand entering counselling may feel daunting, but you have made the first step to seeking support. If you have any questions, please contact me, and I will be happy to answer them.
I offer a 30- minute initial assessment to explore what you would like to gain from counselling and to develop a deeper understanding of what is going on for you, which helps our work moving forward. It is also an opportunity for you to see if you would feel comfortable with me as your therapist. If you are happy to move forward, we will then arrange a second session.
I offer appointments on weekdays at a variety of times; evening appointments are also available.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Cassandra, an integrative counsellor offering a warm, compassionate and personalised approach to therapy. As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of psychological approaches and theories, allowing me to adapt my way of working to suit you as an individual. I also incorporate person-centred principles, ensuring that your needs, experiences and goals remain at the heart of our work together.
I believe that feeling safe, heard and understood is an important part of the therapeutic process. I aim to create a welcoming, non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable exploring whatever you choose to bring to counselling. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship, based on empathy, respect and understanding, is central to my practice.
You are the expert on your own life, and there is no expectation that you need to have everything figured out before starting counselling. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, consider how they may be affecting your life, and identify ways of creating positive and meaningful change.
My aim is to support you in developing greater confidence and self-esteem, recognising your existing strengths, building resilience and gaining a deeper understanding of yourself. Counselling can provide an opportunity to make sense of difficult or challenging experiences, while developing practical strategies and personal resources that you can continue to draw upon beyond our sessions.
I understand that choosing a counsellor is a personal decision, and it is important that you feel comfortable and confident in the person supporting you. My practice is guided by professional and ethical standards, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in accordance with its ethical framework.
Practice description
1. I started my journey working with Cassie at the end of last year. This was a time in my life when I felt I had truly lost myself. I had lost one of the most important people in my life, the one who guided me through life and made me feel safe. From the first session with Cassie, she made me understand and look at grief in a whole different way. As lonely as it feels when you’re grieving and going through a bereavement, having Cassie made me realise I wasn’t alone. She helped me to become more self-aware, read my emotions, and I now have the tools to pick myself back up out of a dark place. I now recognise how our thoughts create feelings, and better thoughts create better feelings. So, thank you so much for everything, Cassie. I will never be able to express how grateful I am for all you have done. Professionals like yourself are invaluable, and your dedication and enjoyment of your job shows. Thank you for all your time, your patience, your understanding, for making me feel valued, and most of all, thank you for helping me find myself again :)
2. I can’t believe how far I’ve come in just six sessions with Cassie. From the very first session, I felt at ease with Cassie. I felt so comfortable in the session that I was able to talk and overcome the trauma I experienced as a child. I had buried these emotions and feelings for such a long time, as they were so painful and I felt that if they resurfaced, it would be too much for me to deal with and overcome. I have struggled with my mental health for over 10 years, but now I have been able to talk and work through my emotions from childhood. I have been able to let go of all the thoughts and worries; it’s like a weight has been lifted and there is nothing to hold me back. Cassie made me feel safe and supported in the sessions, which helped me be honest in the sessions.

Practice description
1. The work I have done with Cassie has been life-changing. I started my sessions while dealing with a great deal of unresolved trauma and some significant life events. I had no confidence, no voice, and was too scared to speak up for myself. Through consistent sessions with Cassie and the work we have done together, I have learned to trust people again, recognise the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships, and set healthy boundaries. We have also done a lot of work around anxiety and developing practical ways to manage it. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I have found my voice. I am happier, more confident, and better equipped to look after my mental health every day. I can’t thank Cassie enough for her compassion, patience, and support. The work she does truly changes lives, and I will always be grateful for everything she has helped me achieve.
2. THANK YOU for your time; it has been priceless.
You have changed my whole life in a way that I could never see possible. I was consumed by the grey mist. And didn't think I could get out. Amazingly, I have, and I can see the blue sky again. Thanks to you and our sessions. The tools you have given me to help me in my life will always be used and will be a valuable part of keeping myself on the right track. Our sessions have helped me realise that I am not just my anxiety (Misty); I am so much more. And it is just a very small part of me and something I can now control. Even at times when it may not be as easy, I will work through it. Our sessions have been life-changing, and I will forever be grateful for your time, guidance, and support. To be able to find yourself again at a point in life when you feel so lost and out of control is overwhelming, but in the most positive way. You will always be sat on my shoulder at times of need, and I will remember our session and all that we talked about. THANK YOU once again. The new version of myself.

Practice description
1. I have worked with Cassie for around three years, and her presence, each time I reach for it, has been an invaluable resource and constant in my life. I have discussed a vast spectrum of personal issues and/or situations with Cassie, and she has been able and willing to help me work through each of them, whilst simultaneously normalising my thoughts and feelings. Now, when I encounter periods of discomfort or anxiety, I know I have the skill set within me to get through it, thanks to our work together.
2. I needed therapy to control my feelings at certain times that were both destructive and unhelpful to myself and others around me. Cassandra has not only helped me to understand them but, most importantly, she has helped me to control and deal with them better than I was ever able to. I cannot recommend her highly enough if you need some help.
3. Having had counselling in the past, I was apprehensive about reaching out for support, but I am extremely glad I did. Cassie is absolutely fantastic at what she does. She is kind, empathetic and sensitive. Cassie listens without judgement, and she genuinely cares for her clients. When I first began sessions, I felt broken, but Cassie helped me find myself again, and for that I can not thank her enough.

Practice description
1. I came to Cassie to help me through my grief over losing my Dad, and help me cope with other stresses in life. Each time we spoke, she could already tell how I was feeling without me having to describe it, but also asked me the right questions to allow me to work it out for myself. After our conversations, I always felt much lighter and relaxed, giving me tools on how to calm myself with certain triggers. Many of our calls were actually really positive, and Cassie always read the room so well in terms of what we should discuss. We spent a lot of our time preparing for my wedding in the absence of my Dad, and what tools I can have on the day to help me through it. The day went so well, and I had Cassie in my mind whenever I got bit down. I’ll forever be thankful for our journey together and know I can count on her whenever I need her. Thanks again Cassie.
2. Cassie guided me to come a long way from how my mental health was back at the start of our journey. She created a safe and supportive environment from the first session. Cassie has always been very compassionate and accommodating in adjusting the sessions to my needs and gives space for any emotions with no judgment. Her support has made a lasting difference to my life, and I'm truly grateful for everything she's helped me work through.
3. Cassie has been reliable and someone I could not get through some of life's hardships without. Cassie has so much knowledge and a lot of patience, and has consistently been a light in some dark moments. Cassie helped me see more clearly and find my own way, and always helped me recognise my own self and work through difficult emotions with such empathy and compassion. I highly recommend Cassie to anyone who finds themselves in need of therapeutic work or just a set of ears that are unbiased to help you find your way in life. Cassie is a fantastic counsellor and has helped me work through many difficulties. I will continue on my path with her to find greater inner strengths.
