About me and my therapy practice

I believe that when given the right conditions, people can feel empowered, have the strength to change their lives, process feelings and life events, and evolve to their full potential. I aim to offer this important space with empathy, positive regard, and authenticity. Having true human-to-human contact in which deep listening and empathy can thrive is essential in a therapy session, and this is at the core of my offering. I love finding new perspectives and ideas, offering theories, models, and resources. I am client-led, a gentle space and aiming to help clients find connection. I feel passionate about being a part of a person's journey and have experience working with clients between the age of 13 and 90 years old.

I can offer sessions via Zoom or telephone or face-to-face in my studio space in Sutton-in-the-isle, Ely.

Practice description

I am an integrative counsellor who works with adults and young people from the age of 13 and specialises in women-centred work. I have experience working with people to process issues such as grief, depression, anxiety, pregnancy/baby loss/infertility, identity, relationships, life stages and changes, old age, and self-harm. I am in continuous professional development to support clients with a range of issues.

My main influence and mode of working is "humanistic" counselling and I draw on theories from "Transactional analysis" to help offer perspectives and new ideas.

My practice is client-led: I will work with you at your pace, walking with you through your experiences and working with you to help you hear your thoughts and feelings in a gentle and authentic way.

I have an unofficial therapy cat called Gus who sometimes likes to join clients for a cuddle (but will not enter if clients don't want him to), and welcome dogs and assistance dogs to the space on a regular basis.
