About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified Therapeutic Counsellor, drawing on different therapeutic modalities depending on the needs of my clients.

I offer a warm, empathic, confidential space, where we can look at what has brought you to counselling. Then, together, we can make a plan for moving forward.

I understand how lonely it can feel when you are struggling with your mental health, and how hard it can be to reach out and ask for help – but I think that in our darkest times, sometimes we just need a gentle nudge in the right direction, and someone to walk alongside us for a while.

Practice description

I am experienced in working with adults, young adults and secondary school children.

I currently offer zoom and telephone sessions only. However, I will be happy to meet clients face to face again, when the time is right.

My area of professional interest is eating disorders, trauma, and abuse. This tends to be long-term, open-ended work, as the impact of struggling with these complex issues, can take time to work through.

I also offer short-term therapy, which tends to be more 'solution focused' (normally 6 to 8 sessions)

My first session

I offer a free initial 30-minute consultation over the phone or on zoom. This is to give you the opportunity to tell me a bit about what is going on for you, what you are hoping to achieve through counselling, and to ask me any questions that you might have.

I do not charge for this consultation, because I believe that having a good therapeutic relationship, is crucial for the therapy to be successful. It is so important that you feel comfortable talking with me, and that we both think we can work together.

We will then arrange a time for our first session.

I take great care in treating each client as an individual. As a result, I am able to offer bespoke therapeutic counselling to each person I work with, which ensures the most meaningful outcomes for clients.
