About me and my therapy practice
We all reach moments in life where the path ahead feels uncertain — or the path behind weighs heavily. You may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or simply aware that something is shifting and asking for attention. Therapy offers a space to pause and listen.
I'm a qualified, experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, with over 12 years of experience working with adults and adolescents. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where your thoughts, feelings and experiences are welcomed with curiosity and care.
My approach is rooted in Gestalt and mindfulness — compassionate, embodied, here-and-now ways of working that invite greater awareness, presence and the possibility of change. I work relationally, which means I bring my full self into the process, gently sharing my responses as we explore together. We may attend to both psychological and physical experience, noticing how the body speaks what words may not yet say.
I have supported many people through periods of grief, anxiety and uncertainty, including the complex emotional experience of health concerns and fertility journeys such as IVF
I'm deeply committed to supporting people of all backgrounds, and I have experience working with clients across diverse faiths, cultures and within the LGBTQ+ community.
Practice description
I offer a consistent and confidential space where we meet regularly to attend to what is unfolding for you. Sessions last 50 minutes and are held at an agreed weekly time, providing a steady and reliable container for our work.
Our first session allows us to begin gently, exploring what has brought you to therapy and sensing whether working together feels right.
I see therapy as a place to slow down and make room for your experience in a kind and non-judgmental way. My approach is relational and collaborative; we may notice thoughts, emotions and bodily experience, and at times reflect on how earlier experiences continue to shape your present life.
Therapy may be short-term or longer-term, depending on your needs. We review our work together periodically to ensure it continues to feel meaningful and helpful.
My first session
Individual counselling usually takes place once a week at the same agreed time. In-person sessions are held in North London, I also offer online sessions.
Short-term therapy typically involves a minimum of 12 sessions and can provide a more focused space to work on a specific issue or situation.
Longer-term therapy offers the opportunity to work over months or years, allowing space to explore deeper or more longstanding difficulties at a steady pace.
I offer an initial phone or video call as an opportunity to talk through what has brought you to therapy and to answer any questions before arranging a first session.
