About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel as though you’re always on the go? It’s as if the “on” button is permanently switched on. You can’t remember the last time you really relaxed or did something just for you.
Perhaps you've felt this way for a long time, or maybe you've noticed it becoming worse after a difficult experience or challenging period in your life.
On the outside, you may look as though you’re coping, but inside it can feel exhausting, as if you’re always bracing yourself for something. Even in quieter moments, it can be hard to fully settle. You may feel fed up of feeling tense, irritable or on edge all of the time.
How I Can Help
Hi there, I’m Sadie. I’m a qualified psychotherapist who helps people manage the impact of stress, anxiety and trauma. My approach is warm and collaborative, helping you understand what's keeping you stuck and find ways to move forward.
Through reflective conversation, EMDR, outdoor therapy, or a combination of approaches, we can explore why switching off feels so difficult and work towards feeling calmer and more able to enjoy your life.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)
EMDR helps the brain and body process distressing experiences that may be keeping your nervous system stuck in a state of high alert, so you can begin to feel safer, calmer, and more settled.
Outdoor Therapy
Outdoor therapy provides a different way of working, using gentle movement and the calming effects of nature to support reflection, reduce stress, and create space to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
Taking the next step
I offer a free 20-minute video call to explore if we might be a good fit and to find a regular space that works for both of us. Please email me to arrange a call.
Practice description
I offer face-to-face sessions in a lovely, peaceful room in Gosforth, Newcastle, or outdoor sessions in a beautiful and peaceful location.
If you would prefer to work online, please do let me know.
Ongoing Support
I usually work with clients on a weekly basis, at the same time each week. That consistency helps build trust, creates a steady rhythm, and offers the support you need, especially as the work deepens.
I also recognise that therapy is a significant financial commitment. Some people come for a focused piece of work over 8–12 sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. Together, we can think about what feels realistic, helpful, and sustainable for you.
While I generally recommend weekly sessions, I offer a limited number of 90-minute fortnightly outdoor therapy sessions. The longer session length allows time to settle into the work, while keeping the monthly cost more manageable. These are charged at £120 per 90-minute session (approximately £240 per month).
Private Insurance
I am also a recognised psychotherapy provider for Aviva, AXA Health and WPA. If you have a policy with one of these insurers, please contact them to confirm whether your policy covers you for psychotherapy work with me.
