About me and my therapy practice
Have you lost someone and found something about their death really hard to live with? Perhaps unwanted images of what happened distress you, or you find yourself going over all the what ifs. You might feel guilty about what you did or didn’t do. Perhaps they died suddenly and you never got the chance to say goodbye or express what they meant to you.
When a death has been particularly distressing, it can get in the way of grieving. You may feel overwhelmed, constantly on edge, or unable to make sense of what you’re feeling. It can affect your body too, making it difficult to relax or sleep. You may also find it hard to talk about what happened, especially if others don’t understand why you’re still struggling.
How I Can Help
Hi there, I’m Sadie. I’m a qualified psychotherapist and I support people who are struggling with grief, loss and the impact of a difficult death. I’m down-to-earth, deeply empathetic and understand how hard it can be to talk about something so painful with someone you’ve never met.
I can help reduce some of the distress around your loved one’s death, particularly when memories, guilt or other feelings continue to feel overwhelming. The aim is to help you feel less burdened by what happened, so that you have more space to grieve and find a way of living with the loss.
We might begin by talking about what happened and what has been particularly difficult for you about the death. Having space to talk about things you may not have been able to say elsewhere can be a relief. Where words aren’t enough, we can use creative ways to express things that are difficult to put into words. EMDR may also be helpful for memories that continue to feel particularly distressing.
You don’t have to carry all of this on your own. Having someone you can talk to openly, without judgement, can make it easier to face what you’re feeling and come to terms with what happened.

Accessible Online Sessions
Therapy is offered via the secure video platform 'Zoom,' allowing you to attend sessions from the comfort of your home and fit them into your busy schedule.
Ongoing Support
I usually work with clients on a weekly basis, at the same time each week. That consistency helps build trust, creates a steady rhythm, and offers the support you need, especially as the work deepens.
I also recognise that therapy is a significant financial commitment. Some people come for a focused piece of work over 8–12 sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. Together, we can think about what feels realistic, helpful, and sustainable for you.
Private Insurance
I am also a recognised psychotherapy provider for Aviva, AXA Health and WPA. If you have a policy with one of these insurers, please contact them to confirm whether your policy covers you for psychotherapy work with me.
