About me and my therapy practice

You’re successful in your career, you have good friends, yet you can’t seem to find the thing you want more than anything – a long-term relationship.

You’ve really tried “putting yourself out there” but nothing seems to work. And it’s really exhausting. You spend hours a day talking to someone on a dating app and think to yourself “this might be it”, only to find that they’ve been talking to lots of other people or suddenly disappear, leaving you feel crap about yourself.

You’re also fed up of the apps but finding somebody “naturally” feels impossible. You’re surrounded by friends and family who are coupled up and they just don’t get it. They don’t get what’s it’s like to have nobody to vent to after a stressful day at work. They don’t get what it’s like to just need a hug. They don’t get what it’s like to feel like the odd one out and to question if there’s something wrong with you. And it's really lonely.

How I Can Help

I’m Sadie. I’m a psychotherapist, also trained in EMDR, which can help work through painful past experiences that continue to affect our current lives. I’m down-to-earth and deeply empathetic.

When we struggle to find a lasting relationship or seem to attract the wrong people, it can be linked to how we feel about ourselves and patterns we have developed over time. We might hold negative beliefs, such as feeling we’re not good enough or are unlovable, which can influence how who we attract or how we behave in relationships. We may also find ourselves needing constant reassurance, avoiding intimacy or feeling anxious about getting hurt.

Through talking therapy, we can explore these beliefs and patterns and how they affect our ability to find and maintain a lasting relationship. EMDR may also help us work through painful past experiences. Over time, this can help us break unhelpful patterns, feel better about ourselves and develop lasting relationships.

Ongoing  Support

I usually work with clients on a weekly basis, at the same time each week. That consistency helps build trust, creates a steady rhythm, and offers the support you need, especially as the work deepens.

I also recognise that therapy is a significant financial commitment. Some people come for a focused piece of work over 8–12 sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. Together, we can think about what feels realistic, helpful, and sustainable for you.

While I generally recommend weekly sessions, I offer a limited number of 90-minute fortnightly outdoor therapy sessions. The longer session length allows time to settle into the work, while keeping the monthly cost more manageable. These are charged at £120 per 90-minute session (approximately £240 per month).
