About me and my therapy practice

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that each and every one of us have the potential to grow and discover.  Our experiences in life can take us on many paths, some of which, might take us in a direction we do not want to go, or feel discomfort within ourselves that we might not be living the life that we would like.  Being true to ourselves can be incredibly difficult with all of life's challenges.

My philosophy draws from a pluralistic framework recognising the importance of exploring what options are available for us to work together so that we can discover what best fits with you at the time of coming to counselling.

I offer online and telephone counselling, which allows you to choose a confidential place that you have, where you feel safe and comfortable to talk.  I offer short and long term counselling, with the freedom to review and adjust as we go.

Practice description

Having worked in a variety of different settings, I value every aspect of what counselling can offer.  My experience includes working with grief and bereavement, pre-bereavement, anxiety, depression, work stress, trauma, relationship difficulties and living with illness.

I offer space for you to talk, where you will be listened to without judgement.  You will have the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings freely, at your own pace , so that together, we can find a way that is going to help you to work towards where you would like to be.

I have a passion for counselling and maintaining a strong commitment to providing the best service that I can for my clients is a moral and ethical value that I hold.

My first session

Our first session will outline the reasons that you have have decided to come to counselling, we will take the time to consider  what is most important to you before we begin.   This will take into account availability, flexibility, financial costs, your preferences and any goals that you might want to work towards.

It is of great importance that you feel comfortable and at ease with your counsellor, therefore I welcome any questions at any time to help you to decide whether I could be someone who you could talk to freely and openly so that you can get the best outcome from your counselling experience.
