My practice hours are Monday to Friday.
While my schedule is currently quite full, I always encourage clients to reach out. There's often a chance that a session time might become available, or an existing client might be nearing the end of their sessions.
I'll always be very happy to see if I can find a time for a new client.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a member of the BACP (British Association for counselling & Psychotherapists). This means that I abide by their Ethical Framework, ensuring that I provide a professional and ethical service, for you to be assured that the service you are getting is legal, safe, and confidential, providing you with a very high standard of care.
I have 20 + years of experience, working within the Mental Health services, with extensive experience of a wide range of issues. The therapy I offer is based on an Integrative approach, which means that I tailor the therapy to suit your needs, integrating different theoretical models to do this.
I offer a private & confidential space, which is warm, safe and supportive, where you can learn & explore your thoughts, behaviours and feelings. I will not judge you or give you advice but help you gain some understanding and empower you to find solutions that are suitable for you.
My experience has taught me that life can be challenging and that we can all benefit from support at times. We can become ‘Stuck,’ ‘Overwhelmed’ and find life & relationships, too much to cope with. Counselling offers us the opportunity to expand and deepen our awareness in order to live more fully in life and in our relationships, which in turn brings balance and harmony. I believe each client is unique and has the inner resources to make any changes that may be necessary in their lives. My approach is that we work together to enable you to discover how to go about making those changes.

My first session
Understandably taking the first step is often the most difficult one to take. Once you enquire, I will contact you via email to confirm that I have received your enquiry. I will then email/post forms for you to read and fill in at your leisure. These outline the terms and conditions of counselling so if you have any questions you can ask me at our first appointment. Our first appointment is a time of assessment, for me to assess your need for therapy so I can see how best to move forward with therapy and for you to see if you are happy to continue with me.
