About me and my therapy practice
Hi, My name is Abby. I am a fully qualified, BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist specialising in grief and loss. I work with adults and children. I am based in Stockport, Greater Manchester but also work online.
Practice description
I am a person-centred counsellor, which means I listen with empathy, honesty and free of judgement. My work with children is play-based using the child centred play model.
Having previously been a primary school teacher and middle leader, I retrained in 2017 completing my diploma at Salford University as well as qualifying as a childrens counsellor. I have since worked both in organisations and private practice with adults and children.
I have extensive training and experience as a bereavement counsellor and school counsellor. I also have both professional and lived experience of autism and adhd.
My first session
Sessiosn are 50 minutes in length. I will ask you to complete a questionnaire and contract prior to our first session. First sessions will cover confidentiality and look at your requirements.

I am currently offering a limited reduced cost online supervsion to qualified counsellors whilst I train as a supervisor £20 p/h.

I am currently working as a children’s counsellor in a children’s hospice setting.
