About me and my therapy practice
I create a warm, non-judgemental space in which to explore the struggle that has brought you to look for professional help. As an integrative therapist, I draw from a wide range of different therapeutic approaches to adapt to your unique needs as a client. My style is informed both by psychodynamics and by cutting edge, humanistic, and evidence-based models. I offer short-term therapy for a specific problem or life-event; or a longer-term, open-ended journey towards deepening your understanding and acceptance of yourself and others.
Practice description
I trained at the Minster Centre, one of Europe’s leading counselling and psychotherapy training institutes, graduating with a BACP accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling. My doctorate is in music performance. In my previous career as a concert pianist and teacher I was dedicated to understanding and communicating emotion sensitively and profoundly. This intuition enhances my specialty areas of working with issues that arise from maintaining highly demanding performative jobs and the myriad ways of burning out under ongoing pressure. I am also committed to deepening and building on my years of work as a bereavement counsellor.
My first session
I believe that a strong relationship is fundamental to the work of therapy and recognise that finding the right therapist for your needs can be a challenging process. To facilitate your search I offer a free telephone conversation followed by a half-price initial consultation to determine whether I am the right therapist for you. There is no obligation and these and all ongoing sessions are strictly confidential and adhere to the ethical guidelines of the BACP.
All initial sessions are held on Zoom due to the pandemic. Face-to-face sessions can be accommodated in line with government regulations in either Fitzrovia or Kensal Rise.
