About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome...

Is therapy right for you, right now? Perhaps you don't know, and that's okay. Maybe you're feeling anxious or depressed and just need someone to listen.

Can you imagine telling someone who looks like me, where you are with life and what that's like for you? Qualities I bring into the therapy room include curiosity, kindness, humour and respect.

- UKCP Registered Advanced Dip/MA Integrative Psychotherapy

- BACP Accredited Diploma Integrative Counselling

- Foundation Certificate Integrative Counselling

- 7 years Clinical Experience

- 8 years Addiction Recovery Support

What will it be like? I practise integrative psychotherapy, which means that I apply different theoretical models to the way that I think and work. This includes how we can safely guide the sometimes conflicting parts of your inner-world into an integrated, harmonious whole.

Issues I have experience with include: abuse, addiction, anger, assault, anxiety, avoidance, bereavement, criminality, depression, eating issues, existential crisis, exploitation, gender identity, ill health, isolation, life-on-street aka 'gangs', relationships, sex and sexuality, shame, social issues, stress, trauma.

I have experience working across ethnic, cultural and class backgrounds and with multiple gender and sexual identities, learning and physical needs and abilities. I welcome and celebrate difference and diversity in all areas.

While acknowledging the value of work and qualifications, I believe, where appropriate, in the reparative power of drawing upon my own personal recovery experience to help inform my therapeutic approach.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a UKCP-registered Integrative Psychotherapist and BACP-registered Integrative Counsellor with over seven years of clinical experience.

I am currently undertaking the Diploma in Integrative Supervision at the Minster Centre (accredited by UKCP). While completing this training, I’m offering low-cost relational-embodied supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists — both in training and post-qualification — as well as those in pastoral or support roles (e.g. teachers, social workers, youth workers, probation officers).

Practice description

My approach to supervision is reflective and integrative, grounded in curiosity, compassion, humour, and ethical rigour. I aim to co-create a space that deepens insight, supports growth, and holds both therapist and client with care amid the complexities of clinical life. Informed by my MA research, I hold a particular interest in how therapists/practitioners integrate their professional and personal selves.

Clinical terms include: Attachment, Body, Existential, Gestalt, Humanistic, Person-centred, Psychodynamic, Relational, Transpersonal.

My first session

The first session will be us getting to know each other to see if we are a good 'fit'. There is no obligation to make any commitment beyond that.

If you’d like to arrange an initial meeting or find out more, please get in touch. We can explore whether the space between us feels right, and how supervision might best serve your practice and your clients.
