About me and my therapy practice
Hi I’m Claire (she/her),
I'm a therapist who will trust you rather than try to fix you.
My practice is politicised, queer-affirming and anti-pathologising.
I believe that you get to define what healing means, and I'm here to support you to live a life which feels authentic.
I have over eight years’ experience working with people who feel suicidal, and as a bereavement therapist.
I regularly work with people who are seeking to challenge the constraints of the status-quo, and who are questioning the limiting scripts society has given them.
I work in a relaxed, fluid and conversational style, providing a space for you to explore anything and everything that is important to you. No issue is too big or small for therapy.
I believe there is always hope, and we that we can work together to find it.
Practice description
Type of Therapy:
My approach is collaborative, and inclusive. You should be able to bring all parts of yourself. We will work holistically, and nothing is off limits for discussion.
I am an integrative therapist, which means that I have an understanding of different therapeutic approaches. I don’t believe one size fits all and I work with people, rather than their diagnoses.
My practice is remote - either online or over the phone, which ever works best for you!
I have weekly and fortnightly sessions available – we will keep the same regular appointment time. You may want to book just a small number of sessions, or you may want to work in an open-ended, long-term way
Cost:
I offer a sliding scale of £65.00 - £85.00 per session
I also have a limited number of discounted low income appointments available, please mention this in your enquiry if you would like to discuss this availability.
My first session
In our first session we'll talk about what you hope to get from therapy (although it's fine if you're not sure yet).
I'll ask questions that will help me understand how I can best help you. We will work at your pace, so there is no pressure to disclose anything in the first session that you aren't ready to talk about.
What I can help with
Abuse, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Body/somatic therapy, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
