About me and my therapy practice

Starting therapy can feel uncertain. You may be wondering if  I'll be understood, or if it will really make a difference. These concerns are completely valid.

I offer a supportive, compassionate space where you can talk openly and feel heard. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on for you and work towards greater clarity and self-understanding. This can lead to feeling more in control, less overwhelmed, and better able to make meaningful changes in your life.

Clients come to me for help with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, shame, and loss — among other challenges. Whatever you're facing, we can work through it at your pace.

Practice description

There’s no single way to experience life, and there’s no single approach to therapy. As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from a range of methods so we work in a way that is right for you.

My unique background means I often work with clients who are from marginalised cultural groups. I have worked with clients navigating challenges that arise from being different due to their race, sexuality or gender such as relationship issues, complex trauma, discrimination, identity and cultural conflict.

Before retraining as a psychotherapist, I spent 20 years working in the music industry as an award-winning publicist—first at a major record label and then as the founder of my own PR agency. This first-hand experience means I can combine my experience in the music and entertainment industries with my mental health background to work effectively with clients in music and other competitive and pressurised industries. I can help with challenges such as imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, stress and burnout.

If any of this resonates with you, then drop me a line..

My first session

Following an initial call, we will arrange to meet for an initial assessment which lasts for 50 minutes. It’s a chance for you to share what brings you to therapy now and your hopes. We can discuss how therapy could work for you. You can find out a bit more about how I work to see if I am the right therapist for you. If at the end of the session we decide to continue, we will then agree some general terms.

About me and my therapy practice

If you’re a trainee or recently qualified counsellor seeking low-cost supervision, or an experienced practitioner looking for a supervisor with a different perspective, I offer a reflective and grounded space to support your growth.

Many supervisees come to me looking to broaden their perspective and deepen their understanding of the dynamics that shape therapeutic relationships. My aim is to support you in navigating these complexities within a warm, collaborative supervisory space.

As a supervisor, I work with the Seven-Eyed Model, adapted to include an explicitly anti-oppressive framework. I am a BACP senior-accredited and UKCP-registered psychotherapist. My foundational training was within the CPCAB relational model, followed by an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent 20 years in the music industry as a publicist. This background now informs my role as the clinical lead of a mental health service within a major UK record label, where I work alongside musicians and industry professionals. I hold this position alongside my private practice.

Practice description

I provide a supportive, reflective environment that invites thoughtful exploration of your therapeutic work. Together, we can focus on:

• Understanding your relational process with clients

• Examining unconscious power dynamics—both in the therapy room and in supervision

• Linking theory with practice in a meaningful and grounded way

• Considering and refining interventions

• Making space for personal feelings and distress arising from the work

• Supporting your self-care and resilience

• Working through ethical dilemmas

• Developing and strengthening your own therapeutic voice
