About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel overwhelming, and reaching out for counselling can be a big step. Whether you’re looking for short-term support or space to explore deeper issues, my aim is to offer a warm, calm, and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to be yourself and talk at your own pace. I will listen with care and compassion, helping you feel heard and understood.

Counselling can support you in reconnecting with yourself, building self-acceptance and confidence, and finding ways to manage anxiety, stress, or difficult emotions. It can also help you gain clarity and move forward in a way that feels right for you.

I won’t give advice or try to “fix” you. Instead, I will support you in exploring how your present experiences and behaviours link to your past experiences whilst discovering your own insights, strengths, and ways of coping.

I am a qualified counsellor based in Bedford, offering online sessions across the UK. I am an Accredited Member of the BACP and work within their Ethical Framework. My integrative, humanistic approach is always tailored to you. Confidentiality and trust are central to our work together and will be discussed during an initial consultation, where you can also ask any questions you may have

Practice description

My way of working has developed through extensive training, clinical experience, supervision, and ongoing reflection. I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and currently completing an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy. This means my practice is informed by both academic study and real-world therapeutic work, and is guided by the BACP Ethical Framework.

My core training is in relational and person-centred counselling, which places the therapeutic relationship at the centre of the work. I pay close attention to how you experience yourself, others, and the world around you, and how past relationships and life experiences may continue to shape your present. I work collaboratively, at a pace that feels manageable, and regularly check in with you about how the therapy is feeling and whether it continues to meet your needs.

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on different therapeutic ideas and skills where appropriate, while remaining grounded in a humanistic ethos. This allows flexibility and responsiveness rather than a fixed or prescriptive way of working. I am particularly attentive to issues of identity, attachment, emotional regulation, and relational patterns, and how these show up in everyday life and in the therapy itself.

Alongside my counselling training, I hold a Level 6 qualification in clinical supervision and have additional training in relational work and domestic abuse, with a particular focus on neurodiversity. This informs a thoughtful, inclusive approach that recognises difference and avoids pathologising. I am mindful of how power, culture, expectations, and neurodivergent experiences can shape the therapeutic relationship.

I work within clear ethical and professional boundaries, attend regular supervision, and engage in ongoing professional development. This supports reflective, safe, and effective practice, and ensures that the work remains focused on your wellbeing and therapeutic goals.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an Integrative Counsellor specialising in Couples Work and a Clinical Supervisor, currently studying at Master’s level with a particular interest in ADHD and working with neurodiversity. I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework for Counsellors and Supervisors.

Alongside my private practice, I have trained and worked with Relate in the past, which has informed my relational and systemic understanding of therapeutic work. My approach to supervision is reflective, collaborative, and supportive, with a strong focus on helping practitioners think more deeply about their client work, their use of self, and the wider professional context in which they are practising.

I aim to offer a supervision space that feels safe enough to think honestly and openly, including about uncertainty, complexity, and the emotional impact of the work. I encourage curiosity rather than judgement and support supervisees to reflect on ethical dilemmas, boundaries, diversity, power dynamics and fitness to practise, while also holding the wellbeing of both practitioner and client in mind.

Practice description

I hold supervision as a space that supports the normative, formative, and restorative functions of the role.

From a normative perspective, I support supervisees to work safely, ethically, and within professional and organisational boundaries, including exploring risk, safeguarding, record keeping, and fitness to practise. From a formative position, supervision offers a space for learning and development, deepening theoretical understanding, counselling skills, and reflective capacity, as well as supporting supervisees to integrate feedback into their clinical work. The restorative (or reparative) function of supervision is equally important, and I aim to offer a supportive environment where practitioners can reflect on the emotional impact of the work, reconnect with their values, and feel resourced and held within the supervisory relationship.

In my supervisory work, I draw on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision, which allows us to explore the work from multiple perspectives. This includes attending not only to the client and the therapeutic relationship, but also to the supervisee’s internal process, the supervisory relationship, and the wider organisational, ethical, and cultural context. Using this model helps create a rich and balanced supervisory space, where clinical material can be explored in depth while remaining grounded in ethical awareness and reflective practice.

I offer supervision sessions via telephone or online audio/video platforms and currently have availability for fortnightly or monthly supervision, with an immediate start. My work is grounded in respect, inclusivity, and an awareness of difference, and I am fully committed to providing a supervision service that is welcoming to people of all backgrounds and experiences, in a supportive and non-discriminatory way.
