About me and my therapy practice
I offer a calm, supportive space where you can reflect, explore and grow at your own pace. As an Accredited Member of the BACP and an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I draw on CBT, person centred therapy, attachment based approaches, ACT and compassion focused therapy to create a way of working that feels both structured and deeply personal.
With over 10 years’ experience in NHS psychology services, private organisations and charities, I support individuals with a wide range of emotional, relational and wellbeing concerns. My aim is to help you understand how your difficulties developed and to support you in creating meaningful, lasting change. I am passionate about helping people reconnect with their authentic self and supporting them through life’s challenges with compassion, clarity and care. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and together we can work towards greater resilience, healing and self empowerment.
Qualifications

Practice description
Our therapy sessions are a safe and compassionate space for you to explore, uncover deeper insights and grow. The therapy space offers a quiet retreat in the heart of the Peak District from the demands of everyday life.
I offer a person-centred and integrative approach blends various evidence-based therapeutic models. This personalised and holistic method not only addresses your symptoms but also explores underlying issues, allowing you to gain a greater understanding of your mental health and wellbeing.
I offer in person sessions in Over Haddon, Bakewell, as well as online and telephone counselling. Sessions are 50 minutes and I am available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
My first session
Your initial 50 minute session is an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your expectations and hopes, and decide whether we feel comfortable working together. You are welcome to ask any questions about the counselling process. Before this session, I will send you my Client Agreement, which we can go through together. All subsequent sessions are 50 minutes, and flexible scheduling can be arranged where needed.
