About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Accredited Integrative Therapist, offering short and longer-term therapy for adults. I provide a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted, and where you can be yourself.
Whether you are facing a particular challenge, navigating life’s ups and downs, or simply feel that something needs to change, therapy can provide an opportunity to pause, reflect and find a way forward.
My approach is collaborative, creative and exploratory. I believe therapy is something we do together. I will listen carefully to what you bring, while also offering observations, perspectives and suggestions where I feel they may be helpful. I may gently challenge your thinking, help you make connections or offer a different perspective to support greater clarity and understanding.
Practice description
I work holistically, recognising the connection between mind, body and emotions. Alongside exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences, I can offer practical ideas and strategies to support you between sessions.
Where helpful, we can explore how past experiences may have shaped you and identify patterns that may no longer serve you. At the same time, my approach is forward-looking, helping you develop greater self-awareness and find practical ways to create positive change.
Finding the right therapist is a personal choice, and it’s important to find someone you feel comfortable with, can trust and feel able to be yourself with. My aim is to work alongside you, at your pace, creating a space where you can explore what is happening for you and find greater clarity, balance, calm and peace. If you feel we might be a good fit to work together, please get in touch to arrange an initial consultation.
I work in person from therapy rooms in Combe Down, Bath and Bradford on Avon. I also offer online, phone and walk and talk therapy.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and decide if we feel we are a good fit to work together. We’ll talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain from our sessions, and a little about you and your circumstances.
It’s also a chance for you to ask questions, find out more about how I work, and get a sense of whether I’m the right therapist for you. I’ll ask some questions to help me understand how I might best support you.
If we both feel it’s right to work together, we can agree a regular weekly session time.
