About me and my therapy practice

Experienced  Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

I offer face-to-face Psychotherapy and Counselling services in Wilmcote, near to Stratford upon Avon, Alcester, Henley-in-Arden, Warwick, Leamington and the Cotswolds.

Many of the people I see are thoughtful, capable people who have spent years keeping going.

From the outside life may look successful, but inside there may be anxiety, panic attacks, exhaustion, relationship difficulties, or a growing sense of feeling disconnected from yourself. You may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or simply unable to keep carrying on in the way you always have.

Sometimes these experiences can leave us developing ways of coping that made sense at the time but may no longer be serving us in the way they once did. These experiences may include difficult family experiences, environments where emotional needs were not fully met, or experiences such as boarding school where adaptation became necessary.

Over time this can leave us feeling anxious, overly responsible, disconnected from ourselves, or unsure how to move forward.

Therapy can offer a space to understand these patterns with compassion and curiosity and to find ways forward that feel more aligned with who you are now—allowing greater freedom, connection and fulfilment in your life.

I work with people of all genders and have particular experience supporting women around relationships, anxiety, confidence, motherhood, life transitions and the pressure of carrying too much responsibility.

Practice description

My original training was Person-Centred and over time I have developed an integrative approach, drawing on different theories and ways of understanding people depending on what feels most helpful for you.

At the heart of my work is a belief that only you can truly know what it feels like to live your life. My role is to listen carefully, understand your experience, and bring curiosity, perspective and challenge where helpful.

Together we can make sense of your experiences, understand patterns that may be affecting you, and consider what meaningful change might look like.

I work collaboratively and will support you with compassion and curiosity, while also gently challenging where this feels helpful—particularly where old patterns, expectations or ways of coping may no longer be serving you.

Some sessions may focus on understanding the past, while others may explore current relationships, practical changes, or developing new ways of relating to yourself and others.

I prefer to work face to face, particularly at the beginning of therapy, although online sessions are also available if preferred. Sessions last 60 minutes and together we can decide on a pace of work that feels right for you—whether that is weekly or fortnightly.
