Hello, I’m Dilek. I offer safe, confidential and effective counselling and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) in Guildford and the surrounding areas both online via Zoom and face to face. I accept people with a lot of compassion, just as they are, without judgement- it is vital to me to provide a safe space where you can be yourself and welcome all parts of you. I will work with you on restoring your emotional health so that you can move forward in life with new skills, perspectives and optimism.

We can all benefit from the space to focus entirely on our needs from time to time - it is not an indulgent or selfish act, but actually the most generous thing you can do for yourself. Counselling is that special place that provides you with an anchor, a place to belong and be yourself while you navigate through your experiences, thoughts, and feelings- whether you’re going through challenging times, or it’s events from the past that are stealing your joy, I am here to help you explore and engage with your past, to rewrite your future.

Together, we will build an alliance where you feel safe, connected, affirmed, and validated. I will be walking with you every step of your journey, empowering and inspiring you to take risks to make positive change and live the life you want to live.


Practice description

I work as an integrative counsellor which means I am trained in a number of different methods including Person Centered, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Mindfulness that are proven to be effective. I am also an Internal Family Systems (“IFS”) qualified therapist which is an effective and safe approach to working with a range of issues, including childhood trauma, which many clients find helpful.

I have a strong track record and interest in working with clients suffering from anxiety and depression, and those that have had negative experiences in childhood. I also have specialist training and experience in working with Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) body-oriented therapy that is helpful for the healing of trauma, attachment and developmental wounds.

I provide encouragement and reassurance as we interpret your situation together and discover the best solutions and coping strategies to heal your painful emotions so you can move forward with your life.

I have also helped clients with a variety of issues including:

• sexual, psychological and physical abuse (inc. bullying)

• childhood emotional, physical, sexual abuse, and neglect

To help you decide on the next step, please contact me a free initial discussion by phone, Zoom or FaceTime, or to answer any questions by email. All calls and messages are confidential. I treat crisis calls seriously and can generally recommend another counsellor through my network if I am unable to help you immediately.

During the consultation you will be able to ask me any questions you may have, discuss the reasons you are seeking counselling and what you want to get out of it.

I am experienced in working both short and long term. I am also committed to making counselling accessible to as many people as possible and have a number of reduced fee spaces. Please do enquire.

Practice description

I offer a grounded, compassionate space where you can explore what’s really going on beneath the surface — at your own pace, and with someone fully in your corner.

My approach draws from a range of evidence-based therapies, tailored uniquely to you. I help clients gain insight into how early life experiences, attachment patterns, and unspoken emotions may still be shaping their lives today — and more importantly, how healing can begin from deep within.

Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)

A brainstem-based, body-oriented approach that gently works with shock, trauma, attachment trauma, and early developmental wounding. DBR helps the nervous system reprocess deeply held responses that talking alone can’t always reach.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

A powerful, non-pathologizing model that helps you connect with and heal the inner parts of you that carry pain, protect you, or feel stuck. IFS is especially effective for trauma, self-criticism, and inner conflict.

Relational Integrative Therapy

I weave together humanistic, psychodynamic, and body-aware approaches to help you explore your past, understand your patterns, and develop self-compassion and resilience in the here-and-now.
